I jumped all over that too. While I think RG will be a hell of a qb one day, I think the Saints at home are going to tee off and make his debut pretty miserable. Go Saints

The last several years, the super bowl loser seems to have lost their first game to legit opponents however I never just look at "Super Bowl Loser". I look at extenuating circumstances, players lost/gained, the opponent played. Statistics are a funny thing.

The super bowl loser hasn't fared well against the spread, but I could just as easily say, New England is 1-0 against the spread when losing the super bowl. If I trust anyone to beat odds like these against Tennessee, it's Belichik and Brady.

I see your point, however, I always take "stats" with a grain of salt.

To each his own. I have always included ATS history in my decisions but sometimes I've leaned on it a little to much.

I just put 2 units on the Saints at -8.5. The Saints are at home coming off a very tumultuous off season. They are looking to make a statement. As much as I respect RG, he's a rookie QB playing against a defense with a new coordinator that has made it a point this off season to create more pressure to opposing QB's. The Saints D-line is gonna eat that guy alive and the secondary is going to confuse the hell out of him. The Saints d-backs aren't great, but their good enough to ensure RG's debut isn't gonna be pretty, especially in a place like the Dome. We all know the Saints offense is going to put up points, thats not even a question. I don't like this bet, I LOVE this bet.

Saints -8.5 is a gift.
Carolina -1
Colts +11 they are so underrated. Luck is the real deal and I like the receivers they added.
KC ML looks like the right call. Tough place to play and Chiefs will be better than last year.

I took the Saints at -8.5 as well. Even if the defense plays like they did last year, I'll take Brees and that offense to cover AT HOME against a rookie QB with new receivers.

Between the Pats and Saints, there isn't any reason we all shouldn't be filthy rich by Sunday night.

I thought about that one. Thought about adding NE -6 to it as well just for fun.

Locked in
Patriots -5 1/2
Saints -8 1/2

...might do a separate parlay with both of them together also.

Seriously, the Pats line is (-5.5)? IS Brady injured or something?

The only think I can think of keeping it that low is that its the first game and its at Tennessee. Regardless, I think the Pats cover pretty easily

I loaded up on it at -5.5. I have 7.5 units on them, and I'm considering even more.

I'm watching the Saints line closely as well. If it drops, I'm gonna drop some more on that one as well.

I don't see it dropping. If people are putting $ on the Skins, then I don't know what to tell them. I put 2 units on the Saints, and I've already been staring at it this morning thinking I should put another. I really like that Pats line too so I need to get on that too.

The Titans are a better "team" than the Pats - no kidding. They should be able to run on NE. Reminds me of the Ravens playoff game a few years back when BAL went into NE and outmuscled the Pats.

I think NE wins but I think it's like 24-21.

Saints at home

This is the key IMO. Something that has to be taken into account. I think the offense just absolutely rolls.

1* Saints -9
1* Seattle -2.5

Wish I got saints at 8.5. Would consider a wong teaser with another game if so.

Locker only in his 2nd year without his best receiver against one of the best coaches and QB's of all time (who has even more weapons now).

I think Vegas is putting too much stock in the super bowl losers vs. the week 1 spread. Last team to cover the spread after losing the super bowl? Brady and the Patriots.

I'll take the pats for some easy money.
