The Big Ten presidents met last night, discussed USC & UCLA's entry into the league and conducted, basically, a straw poll, sources tell @SINow.

It wasn't close. They agreed to expand the conference.

A formal vote could come in a matter of days if not *hours.*

NEWS: USC and UCLA are in conversations to join the Big Ten conference, a source tells @TheAthletic.

@wilnerhotline on it first.

Source tells me that there is a lot of truth to @wilnerhotline report about USC and UCLA in discussions to leave for the Big Ten. My understanding is USC and UCLA reached out to the Big Ten.. certain legal parameters and bylaws need to be followed for obviously legal reasons.

Holy shite

Likely a bargaining chip to get the conference to go back to non-equal distributions like it was in the past

Big Ten knows the SEC has the potential to become a super conference by poaching Ohio State, Clemson, Notre Dame, etc. Maybe this is a way they can combat that.

Nothing says college football like those intense wars between Rutgers and UCLA.

Nothing makes sense anymore. Take me back to the 80s when the SEC was in the Southeast, the Big 10 was 10 teams and the Big 8 was 8 teams. The amount of travel involved now a days is insane. I hate playing OSU every 10 years.

There were rumors a few months back that the other PAC-12 schools were suspicious of Washington, Oregon, USC, and UCLA. Nothing concrete, but those four schools had been collaborating on something.

I wonder if we hear anything about Washington and Oregon soon.

If true, Riley is going to quit. He doesn't want to compete against teams like anOSU. He wanted a cushy job beating up Pac-12 teams.

It’s obvious Big10 and SEC will eventually be like the AFC and NFC in pros.

Wow, that guts the Pac 10 as a power conference.

Why would ND want to do that? They get to keep all the NBC money from football for themselves and share the revenue from all the other sports with the ACC. Them joining a conference for football doesn't make any sense to me.
