what they acquired and actually have isn't THAT great
We certainly don't know what they have as of now to make that determination.

embiid is a myth more than player (and plays the same positions as okafor/noel) saric is a healthy myth at this point (and probably has to play the 4 in the NBA)
So is every player in college right now and quite a few great NBA players who saw little playing time their rookie years, not sure I get this point at all.

It's a shame that the Embiid pick and the optics around it played a big part in costing Hinkie his job. Looking back, I wouldn't want them to pick anyone else, Gordon is the only guy would really consider.

I just don't understand agreeing to go with this plan and then jumping out halfway through.

Owners were not as patient as they said. NBA also might have had a hand in the Jerry Colangelo hiring.

Yea Hinkie would do better to get into a field without as much public scrutiny as professional sports. The ownership group may have originally thought they were bought in to his 5 year plan and would let it play out but once enough complaints were heard that what he was doing was "bad for the league" the league forced the Colangelo move which was the beginning of the end.

The clippers, bucks outside of like 2 years, nets, hornets, both of them lol, have sucked dog shite my entire life. Entire. fricking . Life.

I remember be the days when dudes used to cry when The Clippers drafted them, the Nets wanted to draft kobe and kobe told them he'd play overseas before he played for the Nets lol.

Bad front offices suck. Good front offices generally field good teams

True story

In the last 30 years, there have been 2 teams..TWO....that have won the nba championship with more than one top 5 pick (OF their OWN) on their roster...I went back 30 years because that's where. The lottery started.

1999 -2003 San Antonio spurs (Tim duncan, sean elliot, David robinson)

1987 LA lakers...and really none of the's players were taken when we had a lottery . ..James worthy, magic, they also traded for this dude named Kareem. He was pretty good.

That's it.

But let's look at the clippers further

1984: 8th pick
1985: 3rd pick (Benoit benjamin)
1986: 7th oick (reggie Williams)
13th pick (Joe wolf)
19th pick (Ken norman)
1987: 1st pick (Danny manning)
6th pic (Hersey hawkins)
1988: 2nd pick (danny ferry)
1990: 8th pick (Bo kimble)
13th pick (Roy vaught)

.......

95 - Antonio mcdyess, who didn't totally sick but you passed on kg, and then let mcdyess go with and a fricking first rounder for Rodney rogers, to save money. Mcdyess would go on to play for team usa.....

98- 9 assad on two future hall of gamers to take the candy man..with the first pick of the draft

Evan when they get it right, they frick up. They finally get an all star player I griffin, passed on a generational player in currry.

Name one fricking player they've drafted to put around griffin since they took hM . You can't be a use they're the fricking clippers. T

You could give the clippers 10 first picks in the row and they would not make the finals abecause they would screw up as they are the clippers

It's not the tankind g. It's the fan kind g with no purpose, he's not trying to hold a team he mor assets. His days were numbered she. He took oak a for and not and guard in the draft he. Oulu have aged his job but taxi g him for... a guard you can't have a full king tram full of centers

Did he seriously compare himself to Warren Buffet when he retired? Glad to see his ego is in check.

...and people are here wondering why he didn't get more time to see this "plan" come to fruition.
