That Nike Duke - NBA commercial with Lebron

How is that not an unfair advantage for Duke and Coach K? Baisically, it’s go to Duke and be a number 1 nba draft pick. NCAA is terrible.

When Woj was with Yahoo, he was hitting on this with respect to the national team -- basically saying K did it just for the recruiting profile showcase. Woj got beat up a bit on that as it seemed like some personal butthurt that went back a ways.

Kentucky had Drake at their first scrimmage, they had fricking Michael Buffer announce their starters at the UK/KU game last year lol

That was a hit piece that literally suggested that coach K only went to visit Paul George at the hospital after his injury for a picture opportunity

It's 2017 and top kids are going to go to Duke until time stops. That commercial could have plugged in UK instead & it would have made zero difference.

And USC got banned for basically having Denzel Washington, Snoop Dogg catching passes from Lendale White and Will Ferrell on the sidelines pumping up the fans.
NCAA didn't give a crap about Bush getting a house from some wannabe third rate agent.
All they talked about in their report was open practices and celebrities and recruiting advantage because of said celebrities.
But you can have a giant Advertisement for your school with LeBron?
NCAA doesn't know what the frick it's doing. It always tries to moderate unfair advantage based on prestige and success but you can't do that.
Certain markets will always have an advantage. And certain schools based on prestige.

Nike ripped off the idea from its own soccer commercial from several years ago that Guy Ritchie directed.
Still a cool premise, but it's not a great look for the NCAA, especially since the adidas/Louisville stuff just went down.
