You can bet the NCAA is going to get involved to make a statement. If those coaches covered up this shite as severe as it is, I will bet my last dollar that other things, athletics wise, was covered up too.

The Penn State fans I know are just as disgusted by this as everyone else. I don't think they need a reality check. Anybody involved in the administration who knew something and didn't do anything should face whatever consequences they are due. I don't see how this should be an NCAA issue. The civil and criminal repercussions will and should be severe, but I don't think adding NCAA penalties on top of that will really accomplish much.

Dude was Penn St!

Sorry I'm quoting several people at once. He wasn’t Penn State, I’m Penn State. He was Penn State football, and there is a very distinct and noticeable difference. I don’t defend anyone regardless of their position at the school that aided in covering up the scandal. Joe Pa should have done more, but he didn’t. The people defending him and campaigning on campus and burning things did not represent the 150,000 alumni scattered across the United States and abroad.

I find it funny that people are so out for blood when every single person implicated in the scandal has either been fired and/or is facing criminal prosecution. I have a simple question for those seeking the actual destruction of Pennsylvania State University. Do you want me to suffer as a graduate of Penn State, and with no knowledge of the incidents? If your answer is no then you have no business calling for the entire school to be brought down.

This incident is sick on many levels and is being handled both on the criminal side and will surely be handled on the civil side. We can’t reverse what happened, but as an alumnus I do and will continue to contribute to raising awareness of what happened to make sure it NEVER happens again.

Yes, they should receive the death penalty for one year. Their school and fans need a reality check.

I need no reality check. Read my post above. There are roughly 150,000 of us and everyone I've spoken with is just as disgusted and upset as you. Penn State football is not Pennsylvania State University.

It has rocked the school to the core, but I believe we'll be fine in the long run due to the academic reputation of the school and the research money it draws in. Much like LSU in the research department.

Just read a sampling of posts from the Penn State Scout Board.

Lord have mercy on those people's souls.

Man, if this sh#t keeps spiraling down as expected they should get out in front and do it themselves. Long enough to gut and refurbish anywhere the crimes happened. I doubt that tatoo & shirt scandals have prepared the NCAA board to deal with anything like this.

I don't want to see innocent kids have to pay,but betweem Urban,Paul,Dana,Butch etc.the players could get quick transfers to D1 schools nearby.

As you say "penn state football is not penn state university". So would you complain or be against sever penalties for your football team? I didnt say happy, i believe if you was that kind of alum you wouldnt be on a sports board. What would you as an alum be ok with penalty wise? Also some of the clearer thinkers you are associated with? I realize some PSU football fans dont think anything was done wrong and JoePa is still a God, we have these lunatic fringe at every university. Also i know people who graduated from LSU and hate football and any sport and wouldnt care if they ended our beloved Tigers.
