From TMZ, so not going to say it's 100% legit yet.

Edit: It's legit
quote:

@YahooForde Steve Sarkisian has filed suit against USC, claiming breach, etc. Complain includes phrase "kicked him to the curb" multiple times. Oh boy.

quote:

Steve Sarkisian has filed a lawsuit against USC over the way he was fired as the head coach of the football team ... and wants more than $30 MILLION ... TMZ Sports has learned.

We're told one of the main allegations is that Sarkisian believes USC broke the law by firing someone with disabilities.

We spoke with Sark's attorney who tells us, "Alcoholism is a recognized disability under California law. So firing somebody because of that disability is against the law."

Oh, Cali!

I'm sure there was a personal conduct clause in his contract to account for this.

From the article - "TMZ Sports shot Sarkisian on Friday..." I hope he is ok.

Nobody will hire him if this is real, will they?

Well, a lawsuit is public record so it shouldn't be too difficult to prove.

It will settle before the case sees a day in court. USC will write a big check because of this.

Also, whoever USC's AD is should be fired for the way he/she handled the kiffin and the sarkisian firing.

Contract disputes happen all the time.

I got a buddy who does college football coaching contracts.

Pat Haden.

And you know you're a bad AD when your name is that easy to recall by a fan of a school 1,000 miles away.

People have made the point that USC should have gotten him to rehab after the booster incident. I thought that was a bit much since I perceived it as an isolated case, but knowing what we do now about all the times he was hammered, I can't believe USC didn't do something earlier.

Personal responsibility. Some people have it, some don't.

They tend to exaggerate a lot. A couple of months ago they said that Fred Jackson and Marshawn Lynch were street racing and Jackson crashed and was in the hospital or something ridiculous. Jackson was fine and they weren't street racing. He got ticketed for distracted driving.

That's the thing, it may have seemed like an isolated incident publicly, but they knew about way more and didn't do anything. There were rumors at Washington before he even got there too.

I don't see firing him alone as being the issue. But firing after not addressing it properly in the first place is the issue I see.

Could he not do this to his next employer? He could basically hold them hostage.

Was he sitting around waiting for USC to kidnap him and send him to rehab? After his drunk speech he said in his next interview that he thought the situation was a joke and that he didn't need rehab at all.
