I don't see a team listed that would've stopped Malzahn/Cam. Not one.

That's because Oregon didn't actually win the game.

They're only listing the champs.

2003 LSU lost to a Ron Zook UF team too.

2011 LSU wouldn't shut Cam down. LSU may not have scored, since JJ was so horrible, but that defense was legit.

On paper, Miami 01 is the best. However, I think if they actually played against some of the other all time teams in a hypothetical matchup they would lose. Larry Coker would be severely out coached by Carroll, Saban, etc.

Talent wise, absolutely. You're right though, Saban and Carroll would have easily outcoached Coker - although I think the talent on that team would have won the game.

No issues with that list. Texas dominated their schedule like few ever had, winning the conf. championship game by 67. I'm sure MOV is heavily weighted.

And then beat what everyone said was the GOAT USC team. There was a shite ton of future NFLers in that game.

Both teams where stacked that year, one of the best college games ever played.
VY's run to the win was classic.
I don't have a problem with UT 2005 GOAT BCSNC.

That 2008 UF team is too low. I know I am biased, but the way that team played after the Ole Miss loss was on another level.

Auburn had absolutely no defense if you could block the D line. Auburn only scored 24 on LSU in 2010 and the defense was much better in 2011.. They were outstanding. 2011 LSU wins that game.

2011 LSU was a fan-fricking-tasting team. 2011 Alabama was freaking awesome, too. That's why they went 1-1 that season.

2001 miami gets my vote

The knock on that Miami team is that they had a couple of close calls against inferior opponents (Boston College and Virginia Tech). You can't say that about 2005 Texas, 2011 Alabama and 2013 FSU.

We all love that Miami team because of the talent factor...

But you're right.

And Miami got a chump opponent that year against a team that had just got blown out by Colorado and didn't even win their conference?

Sound familiar? OU in 2003.

And 2008 Florida is Top 5 w/o a doubt.

Wish USC had played them that year - would have been awesome for fans.

But every outlet always has them outside the Top 5.

Even Athlon Sports and CFN...

1. 2001 Miami
2. 2004 USC
3. 2005 Texas
4. 2009 Bama
5. 2000 OU
6. 2008 Florida

USA Today:

1. 2001 Miami
2. 2005 Texas
3. 2004 USC
4. 2011 Bama
5. 2013 FSU

7. 2008 Florida
