The crash happened 45 minutes after he "went to bed" at 10:30. She reported him missing before that crash. So she called the police about 30-40 minutes after he supposedly went to bed.

I think its pretty simple..dude is on drugs, lied to his wife about going to bed and left to go get more drugs. She knows he's a dope fiend and is probably loaded so she calls the cops because he is a risk to everyone on the road as evidenced by the subsequent 911 call and his ultimate demise.

There had to be drugs alcohol or an argument involved for a guy to take off like a bat out of hell and try to run someone down.

Thanks for the link. That makes the call time line very strange I agree. There is definitely something going on. I wouldn't be surprised if Robin is close.
