Games in Sulphur, they could not have found a better neutral site than that

You do realize all the semis and finals for 5A - C are played in Sulphur for state championships. It has nothing to do with finding a neutral field.

Barbe is not the same team when they don't play at home, if this was a series i would give St Amant a bigger chance to win than just one game, lineup is strong all the way through, coach is annoying as hell and will try and get in the opposing players head, and watch out because the fans arent very friendly

I'm joking! It's high school baseball but everything I hear is that Barbe is big time baseball and if you want a seat you better get there early

Barbe was upset last year, anything can happen one game, the best of three format plays right into Barbe's hands due to pitching depth

I don't think that either St. Amant, Live Oak nor Jesuit have any plans to just hand the trophy to Barbe. Everyone knows they are good. It's been said many times.

It's going to be a homestand for them in the sense that it's only a few miles from school. Their fans can go home at night and will surely outnumber the other 3 combined.

If Barbe wins, it shouldn't be because their coaches and fans can abuse the opposing team through sheer numbers. Win it on the field. Win classy, like the other 3 would do.

How many years has the 5A Championship been in Nola with the Catholic League getting home field advantage? It's about time the tournament moved.

However, imo, 5A should be played at Alex Box.

that would be pretty cool and im sure they could figure it out to where there werent scheduling conflicts.

maybe lsu doesnt want extra stress on their field right before regionals/super regionals though.

They had a team in the mid 90s (1996?) that was loaded as well. 5 or so college players, and Joe Lawrence who was drafted by Toronto as one of the top picks in the 1st round of the MLB draft. I'd have to look back, but I'm pretty sure Jesuit or Rummel knocked them out that year.

I don't think LSU has even had interest in doing this in years......

i know in 1983 the 4a semis and finals were there.......
