Will someone in the know give me the scouting report on Barbe... I know about the twins but what about the rest of the team? Hitting? Pitching?

Barbe has no weaknesses, 6 players committed to D-1 schools, no outs in the lineup or a hitter that the pitcher can relax on, they will bunt you to death if they need to, and their pitchers all throw 3-4 pitches for strikes at any time in the count.

You've got your hands full, we faced them 4 times this year and they got better as the year went along. They have no place in their batting order where a pitcher can relax. My son threw 4 innings against them earlier this year and held them to 2 runs and he said it felt like he had thrown a complete game. The 5th inning was their 3rd time to see him and they responded with 4 straight hits to chase him from game. Each time I have seen them play this year the 3rd time for them to see the pitcher has resulted in a big inning. Massey threw well against them last Saturday and they bunted their way to a win. Their defense is playing very solid right now and pitchers are throwing a lot of strikes, they will be very tough to beat in the tournament.

They actually have 7, and more D-1 caliber talent in the bench waiting to play next year.

I remembered one of their teams from 2000 or 2001, with Nagle, they had like 10 dudes drafted or something crazy

Nagle was such a beast in hs

Didn't he hit a walk off HR to win the title game?

They are #1 in the nation right now. But that will change after St Amant upsets them

I don't think St. Amant will win, but I think they can win. Brennan Grant will probably start, and if he's on, he's money.

Blaine Schexnayder is an absolute stud at short and anchors that defense. They don't make many mistakes in the field. Got to watch them a bunch this season. It's gonna come down to if/when/how they score runs

St Amant CAN win but they need to play their best. I've seen them look real strong at times and I've seen them look like a real average HS team. I haven't actually seen Barbe play, but from the way they are described, StA's best will need to be combined with a below par Barbe performance.

The best scenario I see for Barbe not claiming the title is if StA can give thema rough game and use up some pitching, then the Jesuit/LO winner can catch them tired.
