Oakland has said he is not going anywhere....

They have Clippard, Reddick, Zorbist, Chavez all on the block though

Power and A defense, exactly what the Cards needs, plus speed too. Grichuk is the Cards #4 prospect and is now part of the future in the OF. He is the real deal. Should be getting more love for NL ROY.

Reddick

Maybe the Red Sox take a look at Reddick. Start acquiring all the outfield prospects they traded away over the years.

He might be #5 right now... Bryant, Pederson, Franco, Heston have him beat for sure.

Among NL Rookies

6th in Runs
13th hits
6th HR
7th RBI
5th in WAR

Had he started the season with the club he would be in the running. but he is a non factor

Yeah, I didn't say he should win, just getting more love.

He did start the year with the club, but strained oblique in like the 3rd game of the season and missed over a month, same result though.

And I don't mind all offensive stats, but defense plays a role too, he shits on Bryant and Pedersen in that regard by a really wide margin (specifically Joc since both OFers).

Isn't his defensive WAR only 0.4? How much better is that compared to Joc and Bryant?

Just curious, because I'm a Yankees fan but have always had a place for the Stros.

Nah I don't really have a 2nd team, i'll watch any team though. I've found myself watching more Cubs players just because of their youth.
I also watch a lot of Dodgers games because of Mattingly.

Not sure, not a dWAR guy.

Grichuk UZR 3.0, UZR/150 10.0, RnGR 3.1, rPM 8, DRS 6

Pederson UZR 0.6, UZR/150 1.2, RngR 1.5, rPM -1, DRS -1

Slash lines

Grichuk .274/.323/.538 wRC+ 135 BABIP .368
Pederson .227/.356/.463 wRC+ 132 BABIP .281

It's a shame Grichuk got hurt early and missed so much time, would be a much much closer race overall.

Despite recent chatter that the Braves could consider dealing starter Julio Teheran, the young righty is “not being shopped,” David O’Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports on Twitter. Given his cheap control, O’Brien says the team would need to be overwhelmed by an offer to consider such a move.

Indeed, the Braves are more likely to hold off on deciding whether to part with Teheran or outfielder
Cameron Maybin, MLB.com’s Mark Bowman reports. The more likely trade pieces for Atlanta, he suggests, are veterans on one-year deals such as reliever Jim Johnson, utilityman Kelly Johnson, and catcher A.J. Pierzynski. The Braves have been asked about outfielder Nick Markakis, who still has three years left on his free agent deal, but the team is not making him available. And while Juan Uribe could well be dealt, the club reportedly prefers to attempt to move Chris Johnson first.
