Cp3 has enough injuries now much less when he's constantly getting hit.

I don't consider Jordans era when he wasn't playing and heat Knicks was brutal ball to watch. Late 80s was a combo of hard hits and offense

I don't like to hate on people who have success, especially someone I grew up idolizing like MJ. But I find being humble about your success is very important. All MJ does is shite on the entire league.

I think some would adjust but I think some would struggle with body and could be hit hard by legit bigmen.

You can take some players out of their game by fouling hard and making them think twice about it.

The reverse is also true.
There are some players that excelled in the more physical game then that would struggle in the more finess game of today

Absolutely. It was no defense, then the occasional clothesline.

I love going back and watching 80s basketball, its was way more fun to watch. But lets not act like they were pulling guys from the frontlines of Vietnam to play in the league. It would be a mental adjustment for guys to get hit HARD at the rim, but physically they'd be fine.

I read the article. It was interesting. Jordan is a psychopath.

I guess agree to disagree that they all could adjust. I just can't see James harden scoring like he does now against Detroit and the bad boys when so many of his points are.ticky tack fouls getting him to line.
I used harden because someone said he would be 20ppg

I really enjoyed the article. I still think Jordan is the best player ever. He just has some disorders and mental deficiencies that's exasperated by the fact of fame/fortune.

The part about him spitting on his food just made me shake my head.

I dont think everyone could adjust. But the game wasn't nearly as physical as people make it out to be.

It was the highest scoring era in the history of basketball, so there obviously wasn't carnage out there. Many of today's elite scorers' numbers might actually go up playing 80s basketball.

In the mid 80s the average team scored 111 ppg

Steven A. Smith told a story today that before Lebron won a title Steven was walking down the street and a black escalade pulled up to him. MJ stuck his head out the window and said "6 titles, I got 6 titles, he doesn't even have one" "you're not allowed to compare him to me when he has none" That's seeking an audience IMO

Nah, that's just trolling SAS...which I think most on here are fine with.

Reggie Miller was a shooter. I think KD is a stud but he would get hurt in the 90's. Just a different era of basketball with bigger players that were do much more physical.

Two totally different styles of play. You never saw Miller driving the lane like Durant does today. Don't get me wrong, I think Durant would still be effective during Jordan's time, but he'd be taking a lot more jumpers.

People were always moving...Bird was cutting all over the floor to get open...MJ would run the baseline...there was flow...not to mention Magic's showtime. It felt like team basketball.

A lot more enjoyable to watch than this clear out to one side bullshite that dominated the NBA this past decade.
