True, no Centers though they would be destroyed in the late 80s- 90s

Any guards mention better be ready for when they jog in the paint and get knocked. They have no idea how to play physical basketball because a whistle is blown so quick now.

I couldn't imagine the crazy numbers a John Stockton would put up in todays game. Easy access to lane with no pressure of big men hitting him

MJ is, and always will be, my all time favorite athlete.

But he needs to shut up. He's sounding crazy lately. He's probably got another 40 years to live without basketball and has no clue what to do with that time.

That's pretty fair. Those 4 have the most unique talents in the game and are tough players

CP3 is a soft flopping bitch, so excluding him is a good call

Spot on dolla.

I don't like this argument, it's saying because the refs don't let them get away with being as physical somehow it means the players are unable to be physical. Just because guys get calls today doesn't mean they wouldn't be able to handle the game being more physical, hell a lot of them would probably like it

Some would and some wouldn't. I def thing some wouldn't flourish under a physical game

Kevin Durant would flourish in any era of the NBA

MJ just sounds extremely insecure right now. Like "Hey everyone remember me? I used to be awesome." His eye for talent speaks for itself as well. Hello Bobcats...

This is just another "back in my day" story and I'm sick of that shite. If you don't think guys like Durant, rose, or Garnett would have been star players at any time in the NBA you're fricking delusional.

ETA: and CP3

I could be wrong, but aren't reporters asking him these questions? I mean it's not like he's calling a press conference to call out only these 4 people. Like yesterday when everyone got in an uproar about MJ saying kobe is more accomplished than lebron, he was point blank asked that question. What do you expect him to say, "please quit asking me questions"?

Stockton and Isaiah held up fine.

Guys today don't play as physical because they aren't allowed to, not because they can't. The NBA changed the rules because teams were struggling to hit 80 points in playoff games.

Physically, there's no PG from any era that could match up with someone like Westbrook. Derrick Rose would chew Stockton up. Chris Paul is modern day Stockton. Who's staying in front of Parker? The list goes on...

50% of basketball shoe sales are Jordans. Doubt he's asking for people to remember him. It was his an opinion.

WG Dawg, how is it that in 2 pages of comments yours is the only logical one? And everyone claiming they know basketball more than the greatest of all time is laughable

Steven A. Smith told a story today that before Lebron won a title Steven was walking down the street and a black escalade pulled up to him. MJ stuck his head out the window and said
"6 titles, I got 6 titles, he doesn't even have one" "you're not allowed to compare him to me when he has none"

That's seeking an audience IMO

I like non-cliche statements but he's wrong here. He should say today's players are pussies and this whole friends with everybody bullshite wouldn't fly. That would be better.
