In baseball? I don't recall ever.

Taveras with the Cards died crazy young but Jose had several years of incredible success at MLB level so it's completely different.

This makes me sick to my stomach.

That is truly awful. He was an absolute joy to watch pitch. He could have won the Cy Young as well this year. Baseball is going to miss one of its brightest stars.
