In what world does the coach get longer than the qb? Tannehill saved philbins job last year, get a clue.

They are making Philbin the scapegoat when in reality it should be the QB.

The reason they fired Philbin is because they have less invested in him than they do Tannehill. They don't want to admit they were wrong signing Tannehill to the extension.

Tannehill has been bad this year, but the whole team has looked like pure shite outside of Jarvis Landry. Did you see Stills fight to stay in bounds down 2 scores inside 2 minutes? Then he was celebrating his catch? It was full retard. And Suh is getting pancaked and loafing around the field. Terrible football.

Hey Joe.

Look I'm one of the biggest believers that Tannehill is super overrated and not that good overall, but you're being a little ridiculous. Philbin was deffinitly a major problem, a lot worse QBs have won in this league with the talent that they have on that roster

The offense had no identity and has no clue how to run the ball, the defense had free lancers and one sack all season with some of the leagues best pass rushers, and he already got a 100 million dollar player to quit (maybe that was just the money). It starts at the top. That team totally quit on Joe Philbin and has quit on him two or three seasons in a row, and you can't fire the entire roster so Philbin has to go

You can't put it all on Tannehill. The Dolphins have big problems on Defense, and the offensive line has struggled in pass protection.

Bright spot for the Dolphins -- Jarvis Landry is currently leading the league in All-Purpose Yards. Also, Reshad Jones has been playing very well at safety.

Watching him on Hard Knocks, he came across as a pushover. I didn't get the impression that he'd last.

It's not the QBs fault that they're throwing the football 78% of the time. No team should be throwing the ball that much

Add to the fact they have one of the worst offensive lines in the league in which their guards rank 72nd & 74th according to PFF. That means backups are playing better

Tanny is not a good QB, that being said, Philbin was also hot garbage.

The offensive line is probably the worst in the NFL. The Jets ran the same blitz 3 plays in a row and the line failed all three times.

not when you have a shite o-line.

no QB plays well with a shitty line.

even the very best ones will have all kinds of trouble.

I watched their season of Hard Knocks and was baffled that he was allowed to be a head coach. He has the exact amount of charisma that he looks like he has.

How about now? LINK

quote:

On Saturday during practice, Tannehill, after a couple of practice squad players forced turnovers, Tannehill made negative comments toward them, including saying: “Enjoy your practice squad paycheck, enjoy your practice squad trophy.” Sources say this has been going on for the past few weeks as the practice squad players have been intercepting Tannehill and frustrating the former Texas A&M wide receiver turned quarterback. The frustration for Tannehill stemmed from the entire situation as well as the Dolphins haven’t won a game since the season-opener. Tannehill is an extremely competitive person, and the struggles of the offense have angered him significantly. Philbin told the practice squad players to take it easy on Tannehill to not affect the young quarterback’s confidence.
