Just based on his play on the field, I think Tannehill is an okay QB, not great (at the same time, as I said, I don't think it's fair to only fault him for Miami's struggles), but if the "sources" are accurate, he appears to have some major issues with leadership.

On Saturday during practice, Tannehill, after a couple of practice squad players forced turnovers, Tannehill made negative comments toward them, including saying: “Enjoy your practice squad paycheck, enjoy your practice squad trophy.” Sources say this has been going on for the past few weeks as the practice squad players have been intercepting Tannehill and frustrating the former Texas A&M wide receiver turned quarterback. The frustration for Tannehill stemmed from the entire situation as well as the Dolphins haven’t won a game since the season-opener. Tannehill is an extremely competitive person, and the struggles of the offense have angered him significantly. Philbin told the practice squad players to take it easy on Tannehill to not affect the young quarterback’s confidence.

Holy site. That's bad

The offensive line is probably the worst in the NFL. The Jets ran the same blitz 3 plays in a row and the line failed all three times.

Those blitzes were mostly extra defenders like corners and safeties

It's the QBs job to recognize that and either change protection or a route or to know to get rid of the ball quickly

There's a reason guys like Brady, pre noodle manning and Rodgers could play with a middle school line and have a half decent offense

I think it was Buster Schrine or whoever that blitzed the same exact way for 3 straight plays and every time Tannehill acted like he was totally clueless

I'm still a believer in Tannehill.

I was statistics wise. That being said, when you watch him live, something just isn't right.

I will admit I'm using a small sample size, but I'm also terrified every single time the team I root for plays Joe Flacco in the playoffs so small sample size is a bias I've learned to live with ha.

Tannehill can be good. I don't think the problem is him. That line is beyond terrible. It is a jail break rush every single play. Pouncey has even packed it in to the point he's marginal.

Philbin wouldn't let tannehill audible. You could see tannehill giving lazor the what the frick are you doing look after the sequence you're talking about.

Jim Miller and Pat Kerwin had a pretty good discussion about the dolphins fiasco today. They mentioned how the NFL basically fricked Philbin from having any toughness on the team with the bully-gate investigation.

Kerwin also talked about how stupid management is there to let him go now instead of earlier because they are sending the message to the players that the players are controlling what happens with the direction of the team. Management did actively try to get Harbraugh in the offseason so basically they sent the message that Philbin was not their guy. So as bad as Philbin was at the end he never really had a chance given the way things unfolded.

Basically they are saying that there is no toughness on the team, they don't really play hard and don't practice hard. They were saying that he had a pretty tough culture in place but the NFL came in and stripped it away.
