Manning, Brees, Brady, etc career playoff record/PPG

Tom Brady's record is sick. I'm a huge Manning fan, but the Pats are going to wax the Broncos in Denver.

Stats like these are fun to look at, but I still hate how QBs are viewed as wholly responsible for championships won or lost.

Big Ben, Flacco and Eli combine for as many Super Bowl titles as Peyton, Brees and Brady. That alone should be the death of any argument that attributes team success to an individual.

its a part of the equation. it shouldn't be used exclusively but it shouldn't be ignored either

if this is true, then I don't see the point in pointing to any QB stats or even trying to compare QBs at all. There is zero reason to say that Manning is a better regular season QB than Brady. The only reason his stats are better is because he's had WAYYYY more offensive talent to help him get those stats in the regular season.

In short, if you're gonna absolve Manning from his postseason failures due to his teammates shortcomings, he shouldn't get the lone credit for all of this regular season successes. Manning supporters like to do this, and it pisses me off.

are you serious?

The difference between Brady and Manning in average points per game is awfully small given the difference in their won-loss records. I would conclude that Manning's teams have had worse defenses than Brady's teams being the most likely cause.

Peyton's better than Brady in the playoffs he just doesn't have a defense, special teams and running game to carry him.
