hmmm i remember evangel playing holy cross one year in the playoffs so i don't think it was evangel... the wheels are spinning my friend

WM, Evangel, Hahnville, Destrehan, Acadiana are the only schools to win 5A since 2000. West Monroe played Chalmette, but it was at WM.

5A Evangel 2001 played Holy Cross at our stadium in the playoffs
4A Salmen 2000, Belle Chasse 2008
3A Lutcher 2003 in the playoffs
1A South Plaquemines 2007 in the jamboree
we'll see if Rummel adds to that list in 2012

That Neville dude in his baseball group can't sway him...

EA/Catholic winner should get 2nd at worst in district. Catholic gets a shot at Dutchtown week 10, but Dutchtown has basically two glorified bye weeks this week and next.

So, the score is correct then?

I feel like they cover big games out of NOLA. PBS is likely going to be in the dome, so they're relevant everywhere.
I also used the Advocate because they had the most complete Thursday scoreboard.

I checked elsewhere, the same score is reported.
Sorry Modern, rough season for RHS.

Scouting report of D'ville at Port Allen courtesy a coworker
Port Allen Pelicans (Guy Blanchard, Spread Offense, Defense)
Last Week 0-35 win vs. St. Charles Catholic
Port Allen comes into the game following a lackluster performance. They were dominated by the Comets gathering 117 yards in overall offense. A&M commitment Darien Claiborne was limited to 7-20 Passing for 65 yards and 29 yards rushing. He, as well as the entire Pels’ offense, hope to bounce back this week and will try with more balance with running back Jestin Kelly and wide receiver Kyle Moore.
Donaldsonville (Terence Williams, Spread Offense, 4-3 Defense)
Last Week 22-38 loss vs. E.D. White
Donaldsonville also comes into the game following a loss. The Tigers look to spread the defense out with very fast receivers. They have about 5 able bodied wide outs that can take a screen pass the length of the field or blow the top open on a secondary. Leading the attack is wideout Jaquel Grant and running back Drew Rosemond, both returning starters. Leondre James takes over for Devon Breaux at quarterback, who led the state in passing last year and is now at Tulane. He is a carbon copy of Darien Claiborne of Port Allen is size, speed, and quickness.
Key Players
Port Allen Pelicans
#1 QB/LB Darien Claiborne
#28 RB/LB Jestin Kelly
#10 WR Kyle Moore
Donaldsonville Tigers
#6 WR Jaquel Grant
#7 QB/SS Leondre James
Defense may be the key in this game because the ball may be flying all over the field on Friday. One turnover may make the difference and that is an achilles’ heel for Port Allen since Claiborne tends to force things when pressured. Should be a high scoring affair however. Both teams are looking for a big win to get back into the district title chase

A good match up for the weekend has to be Catholic vs East Ascension. According to the LSU Recruiting Board there are a large number of potential LSU recruits in this game alone. I am not familiar with most of them but at least 10 players from both teams have been discussed on the LSU Recruiting Board.
