Meh. I generally don't care. I've seen far worse. Kids jumping up and down for catching a returner that broke free inside the 10. Funny, but it's one of things were you just kinda chuckle and move on.

Guys u high has a good team, if not a great AA team...

But PBS, notre dame, st. Charles, ECA, Amite, among others aint your average AA teams......

To talk about winning in aaa when a team hasn't had a state title in its current class in a generation is, well....you get the picture....

Don't talk about playing someone straight up in a scrimmage....

Win AA then talk about winning aaa.

PBS has trouble filling the schedule......y'all could have played them ..

And yes ouran...this curtis team is probably their best since 85....

I think some of their coaches were at jb field last night- so they at least taking the cubs serious....I have seen both play and on film....I'll say it now curtis is 4 td better than uhigh...

Lctiger - I would be pretty shocked if your kids any of them did that!

Come on choupique-win AA? Curtis won how many straight 4A championships, and Evangel several in 5A before the other schools got tired of having those little schools whipping their butts and quit letting them play up. I never said our teams would WIN 3A, or even beat PBS straight up, just that we would likely be able to play with them better than with Curtis, Evangel and Evangel II (Calvary). And we really should have beaten Calvary in the playoffs last year. If that game had been at U-High I really believe we would have beaten them. Check to see how these AA teams you want us to beat have fared playing up several classifications this season and in the past. We lost this year by 5 to Loranger, who I think is #3 in 3A, and that was 100% due to them having Jeryl Brazil. He's good enough to take over a game individually, and he did. I've seen PBS in person once this year (good friend's son starts for them) and IMO they would not beat Curtis (who granted I've only seen on TV this year).

icansee4miles...

not just talking about your comments..but in general from comments I have read and heard from some...there are some folks saying ya'll would win AAA this year.. I strongly disagree with that.

There are very few teams that really want to play up in class.. ND, PBS and the others are fine where they are.

but...

if IF was a fifth.. we'd all be in better moods...

U High's last title run was when? If my memory is correct they have only faced ECA, CBA or JC.. twice.... in the playoffs....

Like I said they are a great AA team... putting them at the top of the heap in a higher class is a push at best....

JC wouldn't beat the top 3A teams by 4 TDs... where JC and ECA steamroll the "regular" 2A teams and most 3a, 4a and 5a teams is with depth and execution.. ask plant...

The Catholic vs St Amant game should be a good one. I heard St. Amant had some injuries. I don't know if those kids will be back for Friday? Is the game at St. Amant? I know St. Amant will have to contend with the at least 6 to 7 LSU recruits that play for Catholic.

pretty far... half of their problem vs curtis was what happens to a a lot of teams not familiar with how well they execute and how well prepared they are for whatever and where ever a team's weakness is...

and they (their players) thought it was gonna be a romp.. they were right..

make no mistake this curtis team would win 3a, 4a or 5a this year....

owl from what I understand...

we'll get to see Curtis in 3a next year so we shall see...

and ECA will be in 4a...

Not sure how good PBS will be next year.. but I know ND will be very very stout....

Didn't St. Charles fare pretty well their first year in 3A after failing to beat Curtis and Evangel in 2A?

Peopleschamp can't let it go. He has a hard on for Catholic.

Several weeks ago a Central HS student listed several Central and Catholic kids on the recruiting board as players to watch during the game.

He didn't understand you should never list D1 prospects on the sacred TD LSU Recruiting board unless they are LSU prospects But peopleschamp is going to set him straight.

Catholic has one legitimate possible recruit in their Soph RB.
