Game will be in Shreveport because Byrd has a bye.

If Byrd did not have a bye then game would be in New Orleans.

14-0

East Ascension over Southside 1st quarter.

Size and speed difference is ridiculous.

Curtis beating Holy Cross 27-7

St Aug leads Shaw 21-7

EDIT- halftime. Curtis 33-7 and St Augustine 38-7. I think they’re onto the next round

Outside of Acadiana, Southsides district opponents are weak this year (Sam Houston, Barbe, New Iberia, Sulphur, Lafayette)

Southside handed the game to EA. 35-26 with 3:21 to go. Looks like WM will only get 1 home game in the playoffs. Well...shite...

EA is so unorthodox

Run the ball and make SS burn timeouts?

None of that. They throw the 35 yard td pass to ice it.

SS fumbles the ensuing kickoff. Maybe the worst 3 minute stretch of ball security I've ever seen at any level

Question now is does WM want to lose early? Or do they want that smoke from Zachary at Zachary?

Make a choice.

Had the same choice a couple years ago in baseball and WM beat the breaks off of them. Weirder things have happened.

Called back a touchdown for jumping on a downed defender and called blocking in the back. Wow.

This is correct…..teams with a first round bye are home for their first game. So, in Divisions I-III the top 2 seeds are guaranteed home-field advantage through the playoffs. Division IV has a full 16-team bracket meaning the top seeds may possibly have to travel in the 2nd round (quarterfinals) if there are upsets.

They’ll probably get there. That side of the bracket is definitely weaker than the top.

3-5A as a whole is probably weaker than it’s ever been. I don’t think anyone but Acadiana will win a playoff game out of that district. Acadiana had serious issues running against the 3 teams they actually played that were worth a shite and only scored like 20 points total those three games. But once district started I think they averaged over 50 points a game. It’s possible that the line got more cohesive and the young qb grew up a little, but it’s hard to tell because the teams they played were really really bad.
