This cannot be real life: LINK if they split the Michigan State and Virginia Tech games, they'll more than likely get a playoff spot...

Doesn't matter. They had the same weak schedule last year and still beat the SEC champion. A weak schedule doesn't mean they are a weak team.

Yup just keeps one of the deepest teams in the country extremely fresh for post season play.

Wisconsin is the poster child of the B1G when it comes to having a weak schedule.

Yep. It's very possible they finish the season 11-1 or 10-2.

No, it doesn't. I don't think that that is what the OP is implying. The SOS gives them a much easier path to get to the playoffs than teams that have tough games week in and week out once Septembers over.

OSU did have a lot of practice games leading up to the playoffs. You don't get that luxury in the SEC. That said, they definitely earned the title last year.

@ VT and Michigan plus games vs. Michigan State and Minnesota.. Plenty of possible trip-ups.

On the flip side of this argument, there is a sentiment that not being tested greatly makes you unprepared against opponents with a stronger strength of schedule. If I recall, Florida State's schedule was very weak last year, and they did not earn their way to s championship, but they did earn a seat at the table, and had their chance.

I don't think people don't like Ohio State. I think everyone here will tell you ohio state is a really salty talented team that is one of if not the best in the country.

I think people are saying that, this schedule is no different than the boise state schedule yet if boie state went undefeated they would not get a playoff spot

seriously, the ohio state schedule is laughable.

What everyone is saying is, instead of playing Hawaii, Northern Ilinois and Western Michigan why not play Ole Miss, Arizona and Clemson?

There is not one game on that schedule Ohio state should not be 10+ favs by. Most 20+. and not becuase they are that good, because the schedule is really that bad.

the "toughest" part of their schedule is going on the road to take on Illinois, getting Michigan State at home, whil i will admimt, I like MSU alot and that will be a good game, and getting the Wolverines on the road, a tea that just lost to fricking Utah.

As much as I despise Alabama and the aggies at least they went out and played someone worth a shite, Wisconsin and ASU and they both still have to take on the entire gauntlet of the SEC west in which every team is ranked. Bama even has to take on Tenn as well who is ranked. "We get TCU.. AT TCU, next year.

Why doesn't ole Miss, Clemson, etc schedule tOSU then? It goes both ways. Ohio State has played teams in home and homes and travelled time zones.

It's pathetic. They pretty much get an automatic playoff bid. I don't know what is a feasible solution, but something needs to change.
