Yeah I was happy to seen it screened up here in Ann Arbor, even if it took Harbaugh for it to happen. I don't want the Muslim and North African students to feel unsafe one bit or be discriminated against on our campus, but I honestly don't feel the movie is meant to portray their race in a negative ...

re: What is the board's opinion on lacrosse? - HumbleNinja
It's a hell of a lot of fun to play. It's popular in many of the same regions that hockey is (Northeast, parts of the midwest, Colorado) so I don't expect the south to be huge fans of the sport. Though it is not as fun as hockey is to watch live....

re: Any Veep fans? - HumbleNinja
Veep is great. I used to think it was the best comedy on tv, but Silicon Valley does have me questioning that a bit. Still may give the nod to Veep though....

re: Which of these 3 opening Thursda college football games interests you the most? - HumbleNinja
I would say that Utah game was my most miserable in person viewing (offense pathetic, weather terrible, feeling of doom) but then I remembered I witnessed the loss to Toledo at the Big House with my father, who played for the Rockets back in the day. So yeah that has to be number 1. I'm very ex...

re: Watched In Bruges last night - HumbleNinja
directed The Watch, which my dad said is wonderful. I have yet to watch it
 at me for at first I assumed you meant the movie with Jonah Hill and Ben Stiller. Also, Bruges is a lovely city. Not sure if I would call it a fairy tale, but I could spend a week or two ther...

Understood that you're disappointed based off so many people's love for it. I am one of those who loves it, but I see where your'e coming from. Have you tried the director's other movie, Seven Psychopaths?...
I hope Daytwah just flounders and the good guys can light the lamp a few times.
:doublebird: I just want Detroit to show up tonight and play well. I feel good about them getting into the playoffs, but they just need to show they can consistently finish games well. Which is som...

re: It Follows (2015) - HumbleNinja
Saw it last night. Loved it. The score and cinematography really pushed this film over the top. That opening scene set the tone perfectly, so well done. As a resident of Michigan, couldn't help laughing that they used the city of Detroit so well to keep the erie and ominous feel the movie going w...

re: Brian Grazer: 'Arrested Development' To Return for 17 More Episodes - HumbleNinja
I liked season 4, didn't love it as I loved seasons 1-2 and some of 3. If they do bring it back, I hope the format is following more like seasons 1-3, but I realize how hard that may be to do....
I've only seen the first movie and I saw it 2 weeks ago. Some people don't want to turn off their brain when they watch a movie.
You have to be trolling. You just claimed to have seen Varsity Blues 10 times and then you say this shite ...

re: Are we watching "Bloodline" (Netflix Original Series)? ***NO SPOILERS*** - HumbleNinja
There's no way future seasons can be as good, so maybe they should have wrapped the story up in one season.
Kinda feel the same. I mean I'm not done with the first season yet, but it feels like it's a very limited world and this storyline, though great, can be wrapped up perfectly ...

re: Are we watching "Bloodline" (Netflix Original Series)? ***NO SPOILERS*** - HumbleNinja
The last 3 episodes had more tension than any TV I've seen except for maybe the last two of Breaking Bad. And Danny was the perfect antagonist, clever, evil, manipulating, condescending , and a sympathetic character at the same time
Not only do they do this with Danny, but every ch...

re: Moonrise Kingdom - HumbleNinja
I think I need to rewatch Royal Tenenbaums. I don't think it cracks the top 5 for me as far WA films go. My top 5 would be Fantastic Mr. Fox, Moonrise Kingdom, and then I feel Rushmore, Life Aquatic, and Grand Budapest Hotel are all interchangeable 1-3's....

re: Birdman was a pretty terrible movie - HumbleNinja
I enjoyed it very much. But again I guess I wouldn't be qualified as your average movie-goer, so maybe I was the target audience. Movie taste is subjective for the most part, and Birdman is a great example of this. Most if not all of my roommates felt the same way those who posted did....
