He's right.
It's been that way for years.
But you can't question ESPN...as the mothership...They control all...just like they forced everyone into putting Bama back in the title game against LSU.
And no one on here would ever question it...because it's all SEC pajama-wearing crowd.
ESPN controls college football.
They have controlled it the last 8 years when they bought the SEC.
They will do everything to make sure the SEC wins everything...to make money for them...SEC isn't even a real conference anymore.
SEC is a corporation and ESPN's bitch.

Congrats south...you sold out and sold your soul to the devil.
SEC - no integrity.
To think that the other conferences in ALL other parts of the country weren't attempting to do the same is beyond naive.

Before you act like this has been going on forever, remember this:
1.ESPN openly lobbied for Woodson to win a Heisman over Manning.
2. ESPN openly lobbied for USC over LSU in 2003.
3. ESPN openly lobbied for a Michigan/Ohio State rematch in 2006. Gary Danielson and CBS helped get Florida in.
I agree that ESPN is in the SEC's back pocket since the new contract was signed, but to act like there is a historical trend is plain uninformed.

Not only that - if This was the late '90's with a skrong FSU, Boston College, Miami, Reasonably decent NC state Jimbo would be in the opposite position.

He has no problem with Nike paying Oregon a billion dollars to become relevant, apparently

College football is big business EVERYWHERE.
To believe otherwise is silly.

Espn made it no secret that they wanted OU-USC in 2004 and that Auburn didn't deserve a shot.

ESPN would love to have the ratings that a game involving anyone from the West Coast/Mid West/N.D. vs a strong SEC team. It would hate to be stuck with a Ms.State vs Fla. State, 2 small town USA's, a ratings nightmare. It is about money & ESPN wants the highest ratings possible. And by the way, ESPN/ABC owns the LongHorn Network, too. Let UT start winning & ESPN would be all over them, just to get the ratings from Houston & Dallas alone.

When USC got screwed over LSU, ESPN said "the system is broken."
When USC screwed Auburn, ESPN said "THE BCS HAS SPOKEN!"

Not true. The BTN deal was already in place for the B1G. ESPN was pissed about that deal when it happened.

Everybody also ignores the fact that ABC (same owners) televises B1G and ACC games in primetime with herbstreit and fowler. Like they don't have a vested interest in pimping those leagues. People are so fricking retarded.

ESPN has made the SEC.
for half a decade, the SEC was head and shoulders better than any other conference in football, yet really didn't get a fair shake
it was all USC, UT, OU, tOSU all the time, until Florida fricking drilled ohio st. That's when people took notice, but the SEC had been the dominant conference for over 5 years at that point.
the SEC doesn't have defense anymore, and the level of play is down, but all the other conferences are so dreadful and the athletic play in the SEC still dwarfs the other conferences

who does
USC? tOSU? what about that program that looked the other way while a little boy was butt fricked by a senior citizen coach, all in the interest of protecting their football program?
SEC cheats, but let's not pretend all of college football isn't running the same scam, they just don't do it as well.
