Not a Cowboys in the least, but I think Jerry Jones is deserving member as a contributor.

Exactly. He doesn't get in as a GM, but he's the most powerful owner in the NFL. From getting Rupert Murdoch & Fox to bid on the TV rights in the early 90's to moving the Rams from a relatively small market (St. Louis) to L.A., he has spearheaded so many endeavors that have made the other owners billions of dollars.

At least Jerry Jones paid for almost all of his stadium and does rape the tax payers like Tom Benson does. Jones received some tax money from city of Arlington to build his stadium, while the richest man in Louisiana, Tom Benson, used Katrina to extort $400 million from STATE tax payers by threatening to move to San Antonio.

But Jones did it in a 4 year span with Jimmy Jones.

Al Davis did it with 2 different coaches - and really is in for all he did in making the NFL capitulate to the AFL...as the boss.

Um, so did JJ. You do realize Barry Switzer won the other one, correct?

What are you talking about?

Jimmy Jones is not a person who coached the Cowboys. Also two separate coaches won Super Bowls.

He turned them around and helped them become one of the largest franchises in the world.

I guess Jerra has helped the Cowboys continue their brand...and built a huge shrine...but I don't know how he has grown the game. Owners should have a high bar to get in...they aren't players. They should really have made a huge impact.

He sucks at being a GM

BUT

No single owner has had more of an impact in growing the NFL into the money printing behemoth that it is today than Jerry. When he bought the Cowboys they were a sinking ship and now they are the highest valued franchise in all of sports.

He's a no brainer for the hall of fame.

This. I do think Pat Bowlen should've also been considered this year, especially given his health.

Dr. James Andrews deserves to be in the NFL HOF as well. The careers he's prolonged has been amazing!

Sorry, but the Saints fans love Jerry Jones!
He fired Tom Landry, Saints were 1-11 before Jerry took over, now we're 8 of 9 since he fired Jimmy.

And you are still irrelevant

Hope he gets in just on the off hand chance he retires & gets his nose out of the Cowboys business. His son basically had to pin him down to not call in JFF over Zack Martin, that buffoon. "But he would sell so many jerseys.!!" frick him

But the Saints are still... the Saints. Outside of south Louisiana and Mississippi, no one gives a shite about them.

They are a tiny-market team with small regional appeal.

The Cowboys are a global brand.

Jones isn't a great GM, but he does have three SBs under his watch as an owner, which is two more than the Saints have. But Jones' impact is much bigger than football. He's grown the Cowboys franchise value exponentially, and he's helped grow the NFL's value at the same time.

Jones hasn't done a fricking thing to advance the game, but i guess if they let a criminal in, they'll let an idiot in.

Nope.

Then make them both wait. Put them in together. They ARE linked. And I am a Cowboy HATER, but they took a franchise that was in the absolute shitter and city that hated them and got the Super Bowls in 5 years.

Them having to share the spotlight would be perfect AND fair.

Why? That's pretty funny if he gets into HOF for running a mediocre franchise for a couple decades.

Off the top of my head, Ron Wolf, Bill Polian, Howard Cosell, Dick Enberg and Chris Berman are more deserving. Not kidding on Berman and Cosell.

You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. At least look up the guy on Wiki or something before spewing.
