Admirable, but to the detriment to his team and himself. They pretty much had 3 locked, he could have sat vs gsw and nobody would have blamed him for it.

I don't think the mvp was a landslide either way, I still don't think it's a landslide and harden could very well win it.

It is an excuse. And Harden didn't lose the award because of an ailing wrist. He is still posting triple doubles. Westbrook came on and won the award.

Actually no I don't think Curry should have won in 2015. Harden clearly had the better year. That's why he got the Players MVP. The other years nobody was even putting any pressure on Steph or Bron. So i really don't see your point?

27/6/7 on 44/38/87 shooting

24/4/8 on 49/44/91 shooting

Curry still had a higher advanced numbers that year as well no?

ya know it's not like Westbrook is Andre Dawson on the last place Cubs.

Okie City is a winner and is in the playoffs.

I mean how the frick can Westbrook NOT be MVP?

Yea, I mean I can see the argument from his homer perspective, but it's not close to being "clearly"

Per 48 harden vs curry
Pts - 35.7 vs 34.9
arse - 9.1 vs 11.3
Reb - 7.4 vs 6.3
TOs - 5.2 vs 4.6
% - 44 vs 48.7
3 point - 37.5 vs 44.3

Curry made 44.3% of 3s while shooting 646 of them. It's ridiculous

Nobody is neutral. Everyone here except the good guys want Houston to lose.

I don't care who wins the award, but the way rocketfan has wrapped publicly/emotionally wrapped themselves up in this MVP thing means hilarity will ensue if someone other than Harden prevails.

Not saying it did or didn't. Just stating that it clearly affected his game during key games vs the warriors on National TV where he could have enhanced his chances for MVP.

A lot has happened in the past 2 weeks. Harden got injured and Russ went off. There was no doubt Harden was the MVP 2 weeks ago.
Im laughing because 2 weeks ago the Russ for MVP people were retards... now you're part of that group.

Can't wait for the Rockets to win in 5.

I mean they have a much better supporting cast and have 5 players that can be lights out from 3.

That's why the win argument is stupid.

I think that the rockets are the only team with a shot in the West vs GS

I'm gonna say rockets in 6. Adams and Kanter are going to pose a challenge down low for the Rockets in a couple games.

Russ is your MVP.

His season is amazing. During Oscar Robinson's triple double season he played 44 minutes a game with an average game having 126 possessions. Russ has played 37 minutes a game with an average of 96 possessions a game.

That is nearly 30% less opportunities than Oscar considering minutes and possessions. That is why it is so impressive and that is why the basketball voters will realize what Russ has done is quite possibly the greatest season an individual has ever had.

I hope Harden is happy regardless of who wins. For Russ or for himself. Don't want another Russ/Durant bickering.

Their seasons haven't changed in two weeks. All that changed is Russ hit the milestones that he was tracking towards all year long and hit a buzzer beater.

He and Russ are tight. He already said he's not a hater.

It's only stupid this year. It's never been stupid in the past. Harden lost MVP 2 years ago despite putting up better stats with a weaker team. Curry had Klay, Dray and Iggy on a loaded team, but he got the MVP because if wins.

This year it's the opposite, although Harden's numbers are much closer to Westbrooks than Curry's were to his. The goal posts keep changing.

I am fine with Russ winning it because he's been a beast, but you can't say the winning argument is dumb when there stats are so close, because I doubt you were saying that 2 years ago.
