Because the east is so bad, LeBron can get it of the first round with relative ease. Because LeBron is so good, his team typically makes it to the ecf without fail.

The hawks in no way almost got taken out by Brooklyn. That is totally bullshite. They haven't been playing well at all but there are plenty of other factual avenues that you can take to trash the hawks instead of making stuff up.

Question will be answered in the finals.

Best guess is Lebron is just that good.

When you consider the Cavs completely changed their identity AFTER the playoffs started and still find themselves up 2-0 in the conference finals...yeah, the East is pretty bad.

lebron is about to lead a team trotting out tiomfey mozgov and jr smith in the starting lineup to the finals (likely sweeping the ECF)

Instead of realizing who he's dragging along with him, we have idiots saying Lebron has had the easiest road to the Finals ever.

East is that bad.

Lebron is easily the best player in the league but Boston and Atlanta are not good teams. Chicago is good but I think they would be the 5th or 6th best team in the West

Yes, the east is bad, but there is no other player in the league that could do what LeBron did. IMO, whatever team LeBron was on in the east would be in conference finals. Can't say that with any other player

The East was never as good as the West in the Jordan years either, but you didn't hear people criticizing Jordan for it.

LeBron is the horned lamb and it rustles jimmies.

Obviously, i think its a little bit of both

It's a tough question. All championship teams catch some breaks, but the Cavs got a great draw this year...but have some suffered their own bad luck too.

Can I say 60% East bad, 40% LeBron good?

meh, The Knicks were considered the second best team in the NBA for at least two years of Jordan's run. I'd say the Bulls were challenged more by Knicks and later the Pacers than they ever were in the Finals.

You couldn't say that about a healthy Durant? Harden?Curry?

You're saying the last two MVPs(from WC finalists) couldnt take East teams to the ECF. I think you're underselling them.

The Hawks have lost at home by 8 and 12. (Games 1 and 2)

The Celtics lost on the road by 13 and 8. (Games 1 and 2)

So the Cavaliers minus Kyrie and Love beat the best team in the East on the road just as badly as they beat the worst playoff team in the East at home (with Kyrie and Love).

Basically, the East sucks. Lebron is good too, but that's a given.

Transitive property does not work in the playoffs of any sports

LeBron is that great. Without him, Cleveland has a lottery pick. Without him, Miami misses the playoffs. No other player in the NBA is even close to as good as him
