And sometimes he'll win the Giants Super Bowls, what's really limited this Giants team regarding overall team success over the years has been the defense's consistently poor performances with exception of 2013 and last season, not OBJ. Eli and the defense carried the 2016 Giants to the NFL playoffs despite possessing arguably the worst rushing attack in the NFL. It was pathetic at times how that rushing attack performed during the course of the season.

Romo was a significantly better qb than Eli. That isn't lol. Of the last generation of qb's Romo was right outside that elite top 4 grouping and some years he was right there with them. Romo was legitimately the most underrated qb in the league and got an unfair amount of hate.

in the 2011 NFCCG, the 49ers knocked him around like a rag doll.
he had some insane amount pass attempts. You weren't gonna run a lot on that 49ers D as it was.
but he didn't commit any turnovers that game.
he definitely isn't the most exciting QB to watch but he's pretty tough. I can look past stats sometimes and appreciate a QB who stands in the pocket and takes most of the hits.
course, in his case he has no choice cause he doesn't have that unique ability to avoid pressure (save for that pass to Tyree in the SB).

The bigger the stage, the more clutch he becomes. The issue is that he's a player who can't make those around him better, you need to invest into players that makes him better. When elite QBs lost their #1 option they didn't completely drop off and become the worst qb in the league.
Literally one draft pick in 2014 turned him from one foot out the door to this kind of discussion. That's why him making the hof is going to be hilarious. You can appreciate how a player like him and Flacco caught fire, but their whole career is completely meh

Eli has one great season(2011) in which hewas legit top 7. Another 4 average/above average(12-16th best Qb in the NFL). The other TWO THIRDS of his career have been below average to absolutely terrible.
He's a more durable and less consistent Carson Palmer(who is very inconsistent himself)

Rivers takes a gigantic shite on eli when it comes to efficiency. He's more accurate. Eli has played in 23 more games than Rivers yet has only 6 more TDs.
Eli has had more success in the playoffs, and has 2 rings. But he's not a better QB.

Also, one side note I just wanted to throw in here. The other day I saw videos of Bert Jones and Terry Bradshaw throwing, and good Lord, those arms would have done just fine even today. I was always one of those who thought modern athletes were always better than previous generations, and as a whole they are, but this was an exception.
