women's college softball was actually more exciting than men's CWS.

World Cup

Idk about EPL or regular soccer, but the men's World Cup just has so much flopping and faking, it goes against all my sensibilities of what sports and manliness should be. It's a travesty.

sorry soccer fans, ib4 a barrage of nba flopping gifs

As a former huge soccer fan there's no real argument. I don't mind a well placed dive under pressure, that's skill, but all the theatrics is unbearable.

Yall act like that is anywhere near the norm. Flops like that are incredibly rare. And yall also ignore that football and basketball are littered with flops just as bad.

Saying you won't watch soccer because of flopping is one of the biggest cop outs.

Women's tennis for sure.

Literally the worst era of the sport I can remember. A bunch of mental midgets.

Have you ever seen a time when number 1's make such drastic falls? Only Henin didn't because of injury and a desire to say, "bye".

And people think Serena is GOAT. P.F.F.F.T.

I think women soccer players are tougher than men soccer players a lot of time and you don't see all the flopping shite

There is plenty of flopping. Look up the USA - Brazil match from the last Women's World Cup, filled with flopping.

I think women's soccer and hockey is much more team oriented and is easier to watch.

I disagree on that, the best men's teams and the best team's around the world have some great teamwork that can be a thing of beauty to watch.

I find men's soccer to be much more enjoyable than women's due to the action and pace of the game.

Women's soccer is the first thing that comes to mind.

What is better about it? Their glacial pace compared to the men? The complete lack of technical ability compared to the men?

Or is it just because the US women won the World Cup, so it's better since we're the best at it?

I don't compare women's sports to men's. That's stupid. I enjoy women's soccer, tennis and softball. Men-football both pro and college, soccer and college baseball. I just love watching competitive sports in general, I guess.

It's kind of what this thread is about.

I know.

I just can't do it.

the closest I can come to is softball vs baseball in person. There.

Also, OP seems to assume that just b/c a skill level is higher that will automatically make someone like one sport more than another. That clearly isn't the case. For instance many, many posters on here would list college football as their favorite sport, when clearly the NFL has higher quality of play. Every year the Super Bowl winner would crush the college football champion.

Same w/ some women's sports. They may be just as (or more) enjoyable to watch even if they would not beat their male counterparts.

No it's not. Hilariously blatant dives like the one posted in that gif very rarely happen. But I can already tell you're the type that thinks you know what you're talking about with soccer, so you're more than welcome to keep your ignorant opinion.

I'm british and have watched association football all my life. Diving hasn't got a lot worse in that time, I've just got more bored of seeing it. I'll still watch the world cup and major Prem/La Liga/UCL matches, but diving, poor refeering, endless moaning of managers and players, homophobia and corruption have all been very offputting.

Curiously this decline in my interest all just happened to coincide with Alan Curbishley stepping down as Charlton Athletic manager

Women's soccer is just as bad, if not worse, than men's when it comes to flopping.

But you'll notice, the men's national teams that flop a lot (South American, Southern European), tend suck really bad at women's soccer (usually), so you're just not as exposed to it.
