Yeah it has but that's the way I feel about all sports too. I'm still a big sports fan but just nothing like I used to be.

I don't do the pregame footage anymore, I watch the games only.

I don't do cable either. I get ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX off an outdoor antenna in HD. So that's the only fancy part.

even though the league is nothing like it used to be I still watch it more than any other sport.

1)NFL
2) College Football
3)MLB
4)NBA

Yes my love and interest has diminished significantly, but that's mainly because my Cleveland Browns are the worst ran franchise in American sports. Simply put 16 years of futility will drain anybody...even the Browns Backers, the most loyal fan base in the NFL. In years past Fantasy Football would keep me engaged, but its to the point where I don't even care about Fantasy. Right now for me its:

College Football (Ohio State)
NBA (Cleveland Cavaliers)
MLB (Cleveland Indians)
NFL (Cleveland Browns)
College Basketball (Ohio State)
NHL (Columbus Blue Jackets)
MLS (Columbus Crew)

Once upon a time the NFL and the Browns were untouchable, sadly its diminishing year by year.

I have only watched 1 complete game so far this year and am barely paying attention to the Redzone channel. A lot of that is Peyton retiring BUT it was in steep decline even before this year due to all the idiotic hitting penalties

I actually do pay pretty close attention to the NFL in it's entirety on Sunday's. It's usually my day where I come home from church, and my goal is to be as lazy as possible. Mix that with following fantasy scores and usually a game or 2 I put money on, and I've pretty much got my head in all the games.

But I will say the product has greatly diminished. It's more just a traditional/lazy day thing for me at this point.

Yes.

The nfl has become too saccharine sweet.

They care more about revenue than they do about the game.

I've watched more NFL this year already than all of last year combined. Just giving it more of a shot and I've been somewhat entertained

I've gotten to where I just can't handle the amount of bullshite pass interferences that are called every game. It's gotten to where you might as well stay in zone because if you're playing man and they chuck the ball deep the defender is going to get flagged every time even
though both players are fighting for the ball. All the penalties has made this the pussiest pro sport in the world

I still love it, just not like I used to. It's like that will all sports thou, not just the NFL. My enjoyment of CFB has also diminished. The level of play is just horrible at all levels of football, IMO.

5. Players not standing for the anthem, and the league's non reaction to it. Straw that broke the camels back for me.

To me this would not be an issue, as the players have a right to protest (whether or not you agree with the method), if the league was not so one sided on the stance. The let the players sit/kneel for the anthem, they let them come into the game or celebrate TDs "hands up" without a blink of the eye; but the team will be fined if they show their support for police officers?

I have never been one to sit around ant watch NFL games all day. I used to plan my Sunday around the Saints games, but will DVR most of them. Even if I am home, I will set the DVR and start watching about an hour late so I can fast forward the commercials & half-time. ALWAYS catch-up in the 4th qtr.

I used to watch college football all day, but the drawn out games bc of commercials (3 1/2 - 4 hours a game) and how bad the officiating is has caused me to watch football (outside of LSU & Saints) as a last resort if I have nothing better going on or there is nothing else on TV.

When the globalist left-wing media and other corporate entities start pushing their political agendas instead of just giving us the sport itself, that's when I begin to tune iut. That's why I haven't watched regular ESPN programming in years.

As for the NFL, what's the biggest story this year? It's Colin fricktard Kaepernick. The media seem to be on the verge of making him a hero.

I'm still waiting for SOMEBODY to ask him about his girlfriend's organization practically being founded on the false narrative of "Hands up, don't shoot!" but for some crazy reason nobody wants to look at the actual facts surrounding this sham.

Absolutely less interested. Variety of factors.

Older, higher priorities.
Rule changes.

But really it comes down to one thing.

GOODELL and bountygate.

Total bullshite.

Now I watch the Saints only but I canceled Sunday ticket two years ago and if I miss a game, I miss a game. This is coming from someone who didn't miss a single snap pre or postseason from around 87 to 2011.

Things I hate about the "new" NFL.

- Ridiculous advantages given to the offense. From the protection QBs get to the bullshite PI calls, it's lame.

- Concussion bullshite. Call me an a-hole or a savage, I don't give a frick about this. I think it sucks the older players didn't know the risks. The current ones do. If they want to risk it, let them.

- Moving the draft to three days. This sucks.

- Thursday night football - What an abortion these games are.

- Monday night football - Shittiest matchups every week and Gruden is beyond annoying. "This guy here is a football player." Ugh.

- Goodell's ruling on everything. From Spygate to Bountygate to deflategate, he gets every single one wrong.

- Goodell's arrogance.

- Goodell's smug fricking face that I want to bash in.

- Inconsistent and ridiculous officiating.

- Did I mention that cocksmoker Goodell?
