I see a lot of complaints about how many advantages are given to the offense, but the Broncos won the Super Bowl based almost entirely off of a dominant defense. Other defense-centric teams have also done really well in the the NFL the last few years (primarily thinking of Seattle and Arizona). How do you reconcile defense-centric teams winning with so many advantages being given to the offense?

There is still good defense being played in the NFL.

Defense wins championships.

Yes and no. I enjoy watching the NFL because those guys are my age, but if I don't have money on the game I usually won't watch.

I'll always enjoy college football more, but I don't get super excited/super angry with my team/the games anymore. I don't want to be the asshat who's bitching and yelling at amateur athletes 10 years younger than me just because my team isn't winning.

Look at what board you're posting on. Almost all the NFL complaints are also happening with CFB, but that doesn't fit the narrative around here.

Common MSB poster: hates NFL, loves CFB... complains about commercials and shitty refs and shitty rules.

This is the funniest complaint. The SEC games on CBS last almost 4hrs because of commercials

yeah, its a joke. Not a Saturday goes by on here where there isn't some thread about some targeting penalty or some questionable call it seems like.

College football has changed too and the ratings were down for the playoffs last year yet most people on here claim CFB is more enjoyable.

I like CFB but the serious fan boys who think its the best are totally clueless. Football won't ever be the same again for safety reasons. The horse shite officiating will always be there like before no matter what level of football you are watching.

so like it or not that's what we'll get.

One of the problems I have with the NFL product today is the terrible tackling.

No one wraps up anymore.

People just fly in like a missile and hit, they do not tackle.

When did the technique shift to using your body as a missile and hit as opposed to going in the stomach, wrapping up, and tackling?

The defensive rule changes have completely ruined the sport that was already burdened by the excessive ads. I barely even watch Saints games anymore. It's flag football played by sjw's with ads.

I have yet to see the Cowboys take a single snap. By the same token I haven't missed a single snap of an Arkansas Razorbacks game.
