It looks like they are on a quarter system so they can easily fit it in during the breaks between Winter and Spring. The Winter just started and ends in Late April, Finals are late April.

We send kids halfway across the country to play hoops games on a Tuesday night. We just had a few Bammers in other threads the past few days saying their program's professionalism/attention to detail this that and the other is what makes them so proud as if they are rooting on an army, not a bunch of 19 year olds. I was aghast, thinking "this is fricking college students they are talking about." Don't get me wrong, college sports are entertaining, but the whole concept of them and the level they have gone to is totally fricked up. I bet these Clemson and Bama players have really cared about school the past week. Harbaugh taking kids south for a few days is no sleazier than Nick processing kids who don't cut it.

quote:I don't recall many LSU fans bragging about the academic excellence of the school that is the habit of University of Michigan fans. Wouldn't anything that detracts from the academic rigors be anathema to those proud of their University of Michigan education? Maybe the University of Michigan should just open a campus annex in Bradenton, FL and open it to all students. I'm sure the taxpayers of Michigan would be happy to establish such a facility.
seems to me you're rather insecure and nervous, talking about academics and whatnot

The SEC and the ACC need to relax their rules to combat this stuff.
Penn State, Michigan and Maryland are holding a camp at ODU in the Tidewater area of Virginia, but Virginia Tech cannot due to the ACC rules.

I'm going to guess there is no rule against this or it would have already been shot down. I know at least one Big 10 team already holds an off-campus scrimmage every year at a high school halfway across the state from its campus so some travel is already allowed.
Academics won't be an issue because they will probably hold just a week of practice during spring break.

2014 Article SEC
This article is a good example, and I know that the ACC follows same rule as the SEC

Brilliant move by harbaugh. Gets his kids used to spring heat and gets to showcase himself at one of the most fertile high schools in the nation
At some point this has to be illegal
