And he wants to practice in non 20 degree weather. Northern teams also use the trips as recruiting.

Yeah and the best recrtuing class is held by LSU currently, see any of us bitching?

It's a stupid rule that won't be in place next year.

Do you realize where this will lead? Do you think they will just stop with Florida? If they are allowed to continue they will be in Atlanta, Houston, New Orleans and Dallas next. Book it. You know damn well you don't want them holding camps or practices in La.

Exactly. Wal-Mart, Microsoft, Apple, EA, and any other major company didn't become dominant because they were fair. They became dominant because they cornered competitive advantages and squeezed the competition out.

And you expect the competition to roll over and not try to do anything about that?

I would think the NCAA would view this as a benefit Michigan provides to athletes that it doesn't provide to non-athlete students. It is unnecessary , so it is a benefit, and Michigan won't pay for the same benefits for non-football players. Also, I can't imagine the academic side of the house would be too thrilled with the football players missing classes, labs and exams for the 3 weeks or so while the players would be absent from campus. What about tutors and academic advisors for the players? Do they get paid to go to Florida, and where do they set up shop?

Of course they will try, but like the companies I mention I will do everything I could to block them along the way. (I know there is nothing that I can actually do.)

I just don't get what pisses you off about it.

If it's against the rules, he won't be allowed to do it. If it's within the rules, that's the rules...much like Saban donating money to a high school to secure a recruit or 2 from that school coming to Bama.

seems to me you're rather insecure and nervous, talking about academics and whatnot

the wrong people are getting worked up

the people getting worked up should be b1g fans and coaches. SEC teams will get their kids, and this effects the top teams in SEC very little if any at all.

This is a huge advantage over other b1g schools.

I just don't like that they are allowed go out of state to do things like that when SEC schools can't. I know that the SEC is not allowing their member schools and not the NCAA, but still. Its not like there are tons of players up there that the big boys of the SEC want anyways.

So redirect your pissed off-ness to the SEC and not Harbaugh. If he's allowed to do it, there's nothing you can do but applaud him for exploiting that inefficiency.

Nick Saban games the system: If you ain't cheating, you ain't trying.

Someone else games the system: frick that! We need to enact laws to prevent that!

Did he forget about the whole STUDENT part of the michigan experience? This isn't the NFL. Sorry you're in a cold weather state, and tough it out, because in the summer you aren't going to cut it in the heat of a warm weather state.

Does Michigan honestly not have an indoor facility?

False. At least junction boys took place in the same state as their campus.

This is what Im trying to figure out. How are they going to go to class? It would look ridiculous if the entire football team has online classes.
