I don't know who that is now

But in a way Parenteau is like a trade. As he's been out 9 weeks and he will comeback at deadline fresh even.

Rangers take the division lead ahead of the overachieving Islanders, underachieving Penguins, and the Caps!

Talbot must be kicking himself for signing that extension in December. The guy would be a hot commodity this offseason.

Sunrise, where the Panthers play, is at least an hour from Miami. I interviewed for a job with them a few years ago and I am really happy I didn't take it. They do have a nice arena though.

If you have some reading time, I highly suggest reading the article written by Pascal Dupuis in the tribune, it's received a lot of press today and is a fantastic read.

In My Blood

quote:

The moment when I finally stopped lying to myself. We were supposed to be flying to Montreal later that day. In the NHL, you always wear a suit and tie when you travel. I made sure I wore a tracksuit and flip-flops because in my heart I knew I wasn’t making the trip. I knew I was going to be staying a while.

My teammates didn’t know there was anything wrong. My wife didn’t even know.

I remember sitting in the hospital parking lot and thinking, Okay. This is it. You walk into that building and your career might be over.

quote:

So I put on my track suit, grabbed some extra underwear and drove to the hospital. As crazy as this is, I was still kind of thinking, Well, maybe the clot is small and they won’t see it.

I went into the big white tube again. The doctors came to me with the results of the CT scan again. They point to the lung again.

“There it is.”

I completely broke down. I called my wife and said, “Babe, I think I’m done.”

quote:

I’m 35. I know I don’t have much time left. But I’m getting out of that press box prison. I don’t care if it takes six months or a year or two years. I will get healthy. I will play in the National Hockey League again.

There's no way in hell we're making the playoffs, so now there is nothing to do but watch the ship slowly sink.

Some fun facts about the Stars:
They are 0-13-0 with a backup goalie in this season.

Last night they blew their 14th 2 goal 3rd period lead. Most in the NHL.

They have 15 goals against in their last 4 3rd periods. Only the Coyotes have given up more scores in the 3rd frame this season.

Teams that score 6 or more goals this season are 94-0-2. Both those overtime losses belong to Dallas.

Dallas is 1-16 in its last 17 overtime games on home ice.

We went 0-3-2 against the worst team in our division this season. Now we're the worst team in the division.

Ruff has to go after this season. It's the same script every game, and he's lost his team. This group expects to lose when the 3rd period starts now, and every team they play can tell.

Last night was all on Kari

He's been bad very bad at times.

Ruff's presser though shows he's out.

lol I wouldn't give away a bag of pucks for him. He's a big powerless forward, who's soft.

Attendance is up almost 3,000 per game from a year ago, but I don't imagine that trend will continue next year after the Stars reward the fans by taking dump after dump on their home ice.

Hopefully our coaching staff will commit suicide before our few fans do.

Heck of a game in Nashville. Wings were up 2-0, then came back from 3-2 in the third.

Nashville is kind of a dirt arse team. Hog can probably speak to this, but Neal is a TPOS.

The Habs are starting to get in gear again.
20 scored unbelievable
Plekanec scored
The Elf scored twice

But no PP which still worries me.
