Benn finished with 23 points in Dallas' last 12 games? Holy shite.

4 point season finale to snatch the Art Ross away from Tavares and Crosby. What a performance

If Hannifan signs with Jackets, damn they'll be scary
6'3" D with a nasty streak rated 3rd overall in draft class this year. I think CBJ wants to be 3rd in order.

Happy for him, probably my favorite player in hockey not in a Pens jersey, with Stamkos a close 2nd.

First step is getting Mike Reilly to sign.
its hard not to be extremely excited about this team. Just need to avoid getting another injury plague.

So, with the Ducks winning tonight, the Blues will be facing Minnesota in the first round. I'm looking forward to it.

I think its a good match up for our boys in the first round.

He had 10 points in his last 3 games. He put up ridiculous numbers in April. And he got the clinching assist with 8 seconds left. Pretty crazy finish for the Art Ross.

Let's avoid losing four straight, after winning the first two.

Alright where's baloo bear?
Since he started this regular season thread, I'm giving him the option to start the playoff thread as well before someone else does it.
Put this one to bed.

Detroit vs. Yzerman in round 1. This ought to be interesting.

Waiting until Monday. Playoffs don't start until Wednesday anyway.
Bruins missed the playoffs, and all is right with the world.

Sounds good
Yeah poor Bruins.
Hell last year they won the division , were the 1 seed and even won the presidents trophy.
This year? Nowhere to be seen.
They had enough success in 2011 and 2013.

As we close out the regular season, my personal ballot for each award:
HART
Ovechkin
Tavares
Price
I don't share the opinion that Price isn't that good, as that would be silly. But my point is that OF COURSE a goalie is the most valuable player. He is every year, and that's why we have the Vezina. In a scoring challenged league, and given basic ice time, the top 10 goalies are clearly the ten most valuable players, as they are every year. But that's not really what we have in mind with the Hart. and there is no skater who makes more of a difference each night than Ovi, and I'm positive the campaign to give Price the Hart is entirely because the hockey media is tired of giving it to Ovechkin. I get it. But they could instead give it to Tavares, who again had a brilliant season.
NORRIS
Doughty
Keith
Leddy
Gio seemed to be running away with it before he got hurt, and no we're left with about 10 viable candidates. I side with Doughty because he's never won one, and that's just silly. He also has the best Corsi rates overall and at 5v5 score adjusted. It's time to honor him. Leddy quietly had an amazingly effective year, so I'd put him on my mythical ballot.
SELKE
Bergeron
Datsyuk
Thornton
The top 3 forwards in Corsi relative... yup, looks about right. Reallu, as much as I hate the Bruins, Bergeron should win this every year.
VEZINA
Price
Rinne
Dubnyk
The question all year has been who is the 3rd guy to be a finalist, and I don't see how he can't be Dubnyk. He almost single handedly carried his team to the playoffs. It makes up for only starting 55 games, just how great he played in those 55. Still... this is Price's year.
