In a weird sort of way I think the Kane injury will not hurt the Hawks that bad. They've been sort of scuffling as of late and getting bashed by the Bruins on Sunday was the low point. There is a lot of talent on that team, enough talent to overcome an injury to one player even if it is Patrick Kane. This is just the type of injury that can bind a locker room together and force the rest of the Hawks to take their games to another level.

Structure of Winnik trade (#Leafs retained half of $1.3m cap hit) means #Pens still have cap flexibility to add a defenseman before Monday

Meh.
I like Glencross, even if he is out of position on the first line due to the Flames' utter lack of forward quality. He's a 2nd liner, decent shot, good vision, but clearly on the downside of his career. His goal totals have gone 26-15-12-8. That's a trend. He's pretty much Brooks Laich without the injury problems and much more modest salary cap hit.
If the Caps could trade either Laich or Brouwer for him, it would be a lateral move that freed up long term space to re-sign Green. Trading Chimera would be a great one-to-one upgrade. An actual prospect? Hell no. I like GlenX, but he's a 32 year old winger who is in steep decline.

You can have him. I'd rather have Jagr.

we just traded for sekera
gave up a 1st and one of our top prospects. kind of a high price, but we are good as long as we can sign him back

Sounds about right. With the way Malkin is playing right now, probably not too smart though.
Be interesting to see if our new top line pairings + Ehrhoff's return = consistent scoring.
Kunitz plays on line 2 with Malkin and Comeau, and Horny on line with Crosby and Perron. Worked well vs STL and FLA.

Lol refs, over 15 minutes of the 2nd period was 5 on 4.
Some are quite obvious calls sure, but my god.
