Dude, Fournette wasn't that amazing last year. He had 2 good games this year and now a thread from July arguing a more productive, proven, and experienced running back was better than a freshman who had a promising season is being laughed at?
Get a grip. The list of successful RBs from small schools having success in the NFL is almost as long as the list of RBs from big schools in the last decade or 2. This isn't some delusional opinion.
At the time the thread was made:
RB A: 1034 yards, 10 TD, 5.5 avg
RB B: 3511 yards, 61 TD, 5.8 avg
If somebody is delusional, its LSU fans.

The delusion is strong in Ruston.

Xavier Woods is more accomplished than LSU's Safeties. So I get the love there. Adams will likely be drafted higher, but thus far Zay has done more.

I had no idea La Tech hated us that much

that fact that this graphic exists proves my point about the little brother syndrome up in Ruston.

I was laughing at the same shite. This guy is fricking delusional.
I haven't heard the first fricking mention of it.
He started out insinuating that LF7 was going to the NFL draft... then when someone told him he wasn't eligible he flipped to "oh EVERYBODY is saying he might sit out a year to prevent injury". Where the frick do these people come from.

Although there is a 99.99% probability that he will return next year, it isn't a "must" and there has been a lot of talk about this in the media lately.

Someone may have said this before me but if Dixon were on LSU's roster he would be getting the reps Williams and Guice have been getting.
Dixon is going to be a damn good pro running back. His ONLY issue that will come up in his pre-draft evaluations is the fact that he had a bad case of the fumbles early in his career. I believe he had one this year against WKU but didnt have one all of last year.
He's got speed, size, amazing field vision, and a great change of direction ability.
Watch the Western Kentucky game from a couple of weeks ago. Tech starts 3 freshman on the oline and it showed. Defenders in the backfield EVERY play. Dixon made them miss every time and still managed to get 4-5 yards.
Who disagrees? And why?

I'm not saying he won't be a good back in the NFL... but I am gonna say that WKU defense =/= NFL defenses

I agree. That was the most recent example of his skillset I could think of. Ask any ULL fan about those skills 99 yards....
And as a Tech alum I can attest that the LSU hate is pretty strong in Ruston...by maybe 50% of the Tech fans. A lot of them root for LSU because they are the flagship and what good does our best school sucking do? Even as an LSU fan, I found that graphic hilarious. Sure it proves TECH has little brother syndrome, but it also shows how bad LSU's qb situation was.

He was above average but not Superman like he was vs. Auburn. That was my point all along. He was just fortunate that he had a very "media friendly" year:
1. #1 HS prospect hype (which turned out to be true)
2. The Heisman pose vs. Sam Houston made him a lightning rod in the first quarter of his first game
3. He plowed a guy on Thanksgiving night in front of a national audience
4. He had a nice game against Notre Dame
That helped him be the "chosen one" over Nick Chubb who was head and shoulders above him last year (but not now). That's the truth.

Wasn't his first game.
His first game saw him gain 18 yards on 8 carries.

Makes sense. Actually reading the topic you linked in July they felt Dixon was better given the comparative seasons they were coming off of, nearly 2k APY and almost 30TDs I can see why they might think that. Going to any posts from this season they note that LF7 is a once in a decade back. What were you trying to prove here other than the fact that USL fans want daddy's approval?

Being from Bossier, I know a ton of Tech alumni. I don't personally know any that don't pull for LSU.
