Nothing wrong with Sherman stating facts. He's more in saints fans heads than the players.

Well that's obvious, but all the dude was saying is CBs today are are extremely highly paid, just like QBs.
ROI was also mentioned. Granted I don't know who the highest paid QB's are, but I would think the return(wins) on investment is better with the qb's than corners.

Not all teams are created with the same philosophy. Some teams are built around offense first and others around defense.

That's what I'm saying.

They make less money than QBs but when you take into account ROI, then you can argue that the corner market is more bloated than the QBs even though QBs are making 6-8 mil more per year

Sherman MAY be the best in the league but it's hard to tell because he has a HUGE advantage playing with the Seattle D. Sherman has the benefit of playing with TE best safety duo in the league behind him and had another beast (browner) playing across from him. Seattles front 7 is also one of the best in the league. I think Haden is the best corner in the league and PP7 is a close third. Neither PP7 not Haden have near the talent around them that Sherman does.

It's pretty clear that PP7 is the best athlete, by far, of the 3 and if he continues to improve on his technique it's only a matter of time before he surpasses them both.

I acknowledge he's good.

I don't acknowledge that people need or even want to know about his every utterance the way the media thinks we do.

This is Chad Johnson and T.O. all over again. "You'll never believe what Richard Sherman said today!" Listen to me, media, and listen to me good.

I. Don't. Give. A. frick. What. Richard. Sherman. Said.

While Peterson isn't as good as Sherman currently, he provides more value to the Cardinals because he returns kicks and occasionally playes offense.

Sherman likes to talk, that's his game. He is just ignoring the fact that Peterson does more for his team than Sherman does.

Sherman needs a new agent because both of them are stupid. What did he think would happen when he set the bar for top CB contracts instead of waiting for someone else to get their contract and using that? Haden got more than him and now Peterson likely will also. At least Peterson also gives the Cardinals a punt returner

Sorry you're not as educated as you think you are Sherman

Real easy to be a "shutdown" corner when you have guys like Earl Thomas and Chancellor behind him

To me none of that matters.

When the Cardinals pay Peterson, they are paying for a great cornerback, and a really good Punt returner.

Seahawks are only paying for a corner.

I would think that Peterson would make more because he essentially provides them another roster spot.

You can flip that around and say that it's easy for Thomas/Chancellor to make so many plays because Sherman has half of the field locked down.

I'm going to be honest, I think if they pay PP7 15+mil/yr, you won't see him return kicks any longer.

I see your point, I'm just acknowledging that Sherman is a great corner, it certainly does help that he has an awesome team around him.

I'm just saying Sherman is short sighted in comparing himself to Peterson because Peterson does more than just play corner.

ETA: Not to mention they play in different schemes so there really isn't an apples to apples comparison. Least amount of attempts to Sherman's side doesn't really tell the whole story. It's not like he never has a safety playing over the top of his guy, so no an offense wouldn't throw that way.

Sherman is still 1 bazillion times less annoying (and 1 bazillion times more talented) than Chris Kluwe.
