What a tool. Sportsmanship is very underrated in today's society. Kids are going to look up to this a hole.

I would want my kid to look up to someone who got a degree and masters from Stanford, and who is at the top of his craft

I know! A degree from Stanford and very successful in the NFL! Who wants to look up to that?

Ha seriously. A kid from Compton that went to Stanford, got his degree, is excelling in the NFL and hes never been in any trouble at all. Was a 5th round pick and didnt get much respect and plays with a chip on his shoulder.

Cant look up to Richard Sherman because he talks trash on the field. Yet Ray Lewis is 1 of the biggest "role models" and icons that the NFL has had in recent memory

Nobody calls Reggie Miller or MJ a thug. They talked just like Sherman did. And they backed it all up, just like Sherman does. Hell Philip Rivers is 1 of the biggest trash talkers in the game.

Im not saying what he said after the game was right or whatever. Because I wouldnt do that. But im also not Richard Sherman. And CBs have been known as pretty big divas in the NFL.

1 thing I will say though... if you want to be the best, you need to be the most respected player at your position by your peers. Acting like he did after that game didnt help him earn other players respect. And all hes doing is putting a target on his back, and making it bigger and bigger. Sooner or later somebody is going to consistently get the best of him. It happens to every player. But when you talk and disrespect other players like Sherman does, that makes that target get bigger and bigger.

Sherman is handling himself very well though in this presser though. He tells it how it is.

Depends on how the officials call the game.

The problem with him is that he apparently drags this shite off the field. See Larry Fitzgerald's event in AZ and the "kerfuffle" between him and Crabtree.

to be fair, we all know he would've never made into Stanford or graduated without being a good football player.

I believe he had a 4.2 in high school and graduated Stanford with a 3.9.

4.2 GPA and a 1400 on his SAT. Could have gone to just about any school he wanted to.

And from everything Ive read about that event, Crabtree was the 1 that was talking the trash and tried to fight Sherman.
