Stolen from Lebatard...

Regarding the Sherman post-game interview, how was this so much worse than Peyton Manning going off on his liquored up, idiot kicker?

a 1400? That won't get you into Stanford typically.

Yes, because of football, but with that score he could not have been accepted to a school like Duke, ND, or Stanford without football.

When you have a 4.2 gpa paired with that, yea you can just about get into any school.

Oh and by the way, it was a 1400 out of 1600 score....Which puts him in the top 5% of the country.

His whole "thug" thing does actually make sense. It is the online message board version of white people calling someone the n-word.

Change that to a 1060. His 1400 had been debunked

All that is crap that reporters ran with since this interview broke. He used his 1060 as a bragging point when he was getting recruited.
scout profile
rivals profile showing his original 990
ETA: It is amazing that some dumbass made up this 1400 and reporters just ran with it. Not blaming you, you were just repeating what you saw

Lol at this story. Poor innocent Sherman sitting in the corner minding his own business until the big old mean bully Crabtree showed up

Is there anything with better credentials / more reliable / more factual on his test scores than his 2006 scout / rivals page??

They also list kids at 6'3 230lbs that runs in the 4.4s. Then after college hes 6'1, 210lbs and runs a 4.6.

You don't get into Stanford with a 1060 unless you are an athlete.

maybe it's just me, but I can't take rivals, scout, etc. seriously after the #5for5 crap.

My goodness how the hell did this turn into a race thing. It was a bit brash but who cares. It's awesome seeing something so canned as a post-game interview turn into seeing somebody unplugged and emotional. There is zero racial element here except for 10 percent of the population who says "what a thug" which at least half would say the same if he was white. Most good NFL players are "thugs" to some degree in that they are very tough and very competitive. I understood his spoken English perfectly fine so I'm cool with it.

to be fair, we all know he would've never made into Stanford or graduated without being a good football player.

This is my first thought. After seeing that display of stupidity and poor judgement, I think he had some help graduating from Stanford.
