Would love to have this tool talk to troubled students in my community! As people have posted, he graduated from the top of his class in high school, graduated from Stanford, and is at the top of his profession in the nation's most popular sport! I would love to have him as a role model than the majority of the internet moralists that are behind these keyboards.

It became racial when certain people took to twitter and started calling him the n word, among other things.

He got a 1060
ETA: Originally made a 990, then retook and got a 1060 LINK
So my statement that the only reason he got into Stanford is because of football is 100% correct then?

Bragging about a 1060?

Nope, racism.
Nope. Just playing the odds of a football player actually being able to make it into Stanford on his academic merits alone. IT doesn't happen often.
Turns out, I was right here. But, yeah...you're right. I'm racist for pointing out the facts.

I still am no 100% sure of what he scored.
They are getting the 1060 off of his 2006 scout profile page. And scout and rivals have a history of posting incorrect stats, scores, #s, etc. Its not really a legit source, especially when it comes to a persons SAT score.
And then the last few days big media outlets are saying he got a 1400 out of 1600 on the sat. ESPN, Business insider, LA times, etc are all reporting he got a 1400/1600 on his sat.
So i really have no idea what he got on his SATs. His GPA was over a 4.0 in high school though.

Dude, this literally means nothing. Do you know how easy it is to get a 4.0 or higher in high school? Especially in a shitty school like Compton's schools.
1060 is the likely score. 1400 out of 2400 is roughly equivalent to a 990 on the old scale, which just happened to be his first score. Maybe that's where the disconnect is. Truth is, I highly doubt he scored a 1400/1600. He would brag about that a shite load more. 1060 isn't necessarily anything to be ashamed of for a Compton kid.

quote:This x 1000. He was the one who reported his score of 990 and 1060 to rivals. The 1400 was misconstrued by the media by converting from the old to new format. If he truly got a 1400/1600, that would be the only thing talked about every Sunday the Seahawks played, as that would make him the smartest player in the entire nfl

Especially, when you are the man on the football team.

To be fair, Peyton Manning made a 1030 on the SAT. There are very few geniuses in professional football.

Honestly, I didn't have an opinion about Sherman either way before this happened. I just didn't like him because he plays for the Shehawks.
But after all this, I actually like the guy.
Still pulling for the Broncs, though.
