It's the same with all media.

Bob Costas has gone on liberal tangents several times on air at NBC during the NFL pregame, and it was a-okay. I believe it was things like anti-gun rants and pro universal healthcare speeches.

Imagine if he gave on-air speeches about pro 2nd amendment topics or pro-conservative topics.

I think I would be completely shocked if someone like that started preaching about pro-conservative values. Imagine if he did that and the rest of the media agreed with him and wrote stories about how they agree with him on his pro 2nd amendment stance or pro-life stance.

It would feel like the world flipped upside down.

Disney/Espn are most definitely hypocrites.

speaking of hypocrites, how many people here are supporters of at will employment?

ESPN has every right to employee who ever they like. Don't watch, it is not that hard.

The only people that are able to listen to Steven A are people who don't work 8-5.

Anybody with half a brain sees the double standard.

That being said, Curt knew that going in, and still pushed the envelope.

Who is arguing otherwise? Curt even specifically stated he understood it was an at will contract and he understood the first amendment doesn't protect his job. He never complained about that. His biggest complaint is the hypocrisy and double standard at ESPN and he's absolutely right.

So it is possible for someone to be right, and also at the same time a complete idiot.

Fox Sports needs to snap him up quick. They can pair their right leaning political broadcasting w/ a right leaning sports broadcast view and paint ESPN as the race-baiting POS network that it is and keep dropping inside knowledge of their shitty corporate culture and sexual harrasment culture and take a ton of market share.

Their #1 concern should be to have good sports programming.

He's pretty spot on. He's also an idiot and a whiner.

He and ESPN were made for each other imo.

Amazing that ESPN didn't see the long term viability problems with promoting a leftist slant to an audience of men who like sports.

It's like Hollywood being confused as to why Green Zone didn't do that well. It's a left-slanted movie about war. Who do they think watches war movies?

Espn/abc don't give a frick about anything other than ratings, they know they have people by the balls because they have so many sports contracts that people will continue to watch no matter what, so if they spout off about their liberal agenda no repercussions come of it in terms of ratings although I think sportscenter viewership has declined but that may be largely due to stupid cable prices.

Look no further than the bachelor/bachelorette on ABC. What is the farthest a black contestant has gotten? A few rounds, and it's likely written into the contract that the main contestant has to advance one, because it always happens.

ABC doesn't allow anything beyond that though because they know the audience for that show is white teenage girls up through whitd middle age women. The casting for that show is "racist" by ABC/ESPN/Disney standards which they portray. All about the ratings.
