The Steelers Chiefs playoff game in the mid 90's was a lot like that. Arrowhead in January is bad, but the Gates is still worth it.

A couple come to mind.

2005 WVU-Pitt. 19 degrees with a windchill of 8.
2012 Pinstripe Bowl. WVU-Syracuse. Our seats were covered with ice and snow when we got there. Horrible. Snowed most of the game.

And for good measure, Pat Whites last game in 08 was pretty cold. Temp in the teens if i remember right. Roads were snow covered, it was a mess. Still glad I got to see it though. Field was covered in snow too, and the ground crew drew a big number 5 at midfield before the game, which was pretty cool.

Carolina against the Browns last December. It was like 40 degrees out. Had to wear a long sleeve shirt and eventually put on a jacket.

1st SEC title game was the coldest

hottest was the Braves/Nationals game 2 years ago (?) where first pitch was 106. You couldn't sit in your seats when you got to the stadium without pouring water on them to cool them off. Crazy.

Mid 90s we went up to Boone County (Florence, KY) for the state football playoffs went Shaun Alexander was there (played my HS). It was about 10 degrees with a -5 windchill. And they only had enough bleachers for one side of the field, so you had to either stand or sit on the concrete track. Coldest I've ever been at a game and probably made even more miserable by the 300 some odd yards he put on our team.

Hottest - this year's LSU/Auburn game slightly edges out LSU/Appalachian State from 2008

Coldest - LSU/Troy 2008. It felt fine tailgating during the day, but once the sun went down it was frigid. I remember we were given terrible towels and I was grabbing everyone's that was left behind and trying to make a makeshift blanket with them.
