Yep, going through this right now. My dad lives in West Virginia and just recently had to move to a nursing home due to his dementia. On top of that right now he's in the hospital with Covid that he caught in there. I'm 7 hours away, so I don't get back too often, mainly holidays or long weekends he...

Maryland's 2-3 western counties tried to petition to join WV a few years ago or something like that. If you've ever driven through the hell that is Interstate 68 through that stretch of Maryland, you know it's basically just West Virginia anyway....

Went there a few years ago, stopped in on a quiet summer day. Nice town and nice campus. Could tell the food and bar scene was good there. Nice college town for sure....
