It will eventually go to 8 because the CFP isn't about to turn down an additional 4 games of revenue

that's because they were both asked after they played each other and that's the example the Exec decided to use...nothing to see here

I like the idea of 8 but they have to move up the games. This would obviously add another week and I don't want college football going into February. As it is now I think the Championship game is too late.

8 would be perfect. 5 conference champions, 3 wildcards, seeded in order of final rankings.

what if they aren't one of the best 8. isn't the whole point to get the best in the playoffs?

Good.

Notre Dame and Stanford had no business (2-loss teams) and OSU and Iowa lost to the team that went from their conference.

I question the judgment of any "fan" who wants an 8 game playoff in college football.

There's too many reasons to list why that is an absolutely terrible idea. Four is questionable but it denied bama an undeserved championship last year so it's tough for me to be too upset.

No business? Stanford had more business than Oklahoma.

There's not 8 teams worthy of playing for a title each year. Honestly, there is usually no more than 2-3.

They're 0-2 at getting the four best teams so far.

Considering the controversy last year was letting Ohio state in over tcu is say they did a pretty damn good job.

i'm a pro BCS proponent of the 2 team playoff. All this other shite can kiss my arse. I didn't even watch either game past weekend.

Alabama lost to a mediocre team that didn't even make a new years six bowl.

Ur dum.

according to that peasant logic, USC had a chance at the playoffs in week 12, despite already having 4 losses
