Oh I have been following him for quite some time. He is classless and fought extremely dirty tonight as well including his simulated butt-humping in the first round and blatant late hit in the 11th. Nevertheless, justice prevailed and the dude did take the beating of his life and has a hell of a chin no matter what else you may say about him. His career is at the epitome of a crossroads.

I'm just glad we won't have this dude shoved down out throats on PPV like Golden Boy had planned prior to his arse spanking by Maidana tonight.
Lol their two future cows both got owned in the last 4 months. Golden Boy hype jobs at its finest.

Who was the other cash cow?
Really glad to see Broner lose.

Canelo Alvarez
And I forgot out Victor Ortiz. Golden Boy was hyping him up similar to Canelo. But then Maidana knocked Ortiz out.
Maidana has become the golden boy hype job nightmare lol.

Okay, but Alvarez went up against the man Broner models himself after. I don't care for TMT, but that was an expected loss for his side, right?
Meanwhile, this was a complete upset. You know way more about the sport than me, but wasn't the general belief that Gamboa was the only guy who could beat Broner?

Of course he leaves without an interview. Probably will claim some illness or injury later. No need to douse him with beer though.
This is correct. That was pretty pathetic on those fans' part. I dont care what you feel about the man, he hasnt done anything personally to you and you dont know each other at all. Boxing is based on talking shite and hype. If people have a serious problem with that, then they are watching the wrong sport.

Damn that was a great fight. Frick Adrien Broner. I thought it was awesome when Maidana turned him around and got him back for humping him early in the fight. lulz
That ref Laurence Cole was pure shite in that fight.

Broner got humiliated and exposed for the B level fighter that he is

But I like Canelo. Is he a little overhyped? Sure, but any fighter thrown into a PPV is going to be overhyped. Of course he was never good enough at this stage of his career to face Mayweather, but he's only 23 years old. His future in boxing is bright if he is managed properly and continues to work hard.

that was a pretty lopsided fight IMO. don't know what the judge who had 115-110 was watching. i'd give at the most 3 rounds to Broner. who had he beat to be 27-0? he didn't look that good to me for the first time seeing him..

The jury was out on Broner until he stepped up the competition. He doesn't throw many punches and had questionable power.
Last night showed that he basically was in over his head with Maidona and his only advantage was hand speed

quote:Not sure I agree with that one. The worst part about Broner was his lean-back, shoulder roll-imitating style. He simply baits his opponents - who actually, unlike Broner, have the courage to go forward - into getting close enough to hurt them.
questionable power

I disagree. I thought throwing trash on him was pretty fitting. Human beings with his kind of character deserve nothing but shite on top of their heads as they cower off showing no respect.
Yea, throw beer at him and do all this stuff when you know he can't retaliate.
That's the right, manly thing to do.
Man, I hope you're joking and I missed the Sarcasm

Broner's biggest problem is his lack of head movement. It really is non existent. He leans back and attempts to do the Mayweather shoulder roll to dodge his opponents punches, but his head just sits in one spot while doing it because he is too stiff with no waist and shoulder movement (as opposed to Floyd who is constantly bobbing, weaving and rolling with his opponents punches).
It even happens when Broner goes on the offensive. He throws hard punches, but leaves himself wide open for counters because his head will sit in one spot while he is trying to mix it up. A lot of the punches that Maidaina hurt him with were in the middle or right at the end of a Broner flurry. Maidaina knew where Broner ' s head would be and would just wing a huge hook even though he was on the defensive. Whenever that hook connected, it would stop Broner in his tracks or immediately back him up.
Paulie M really exploited that in Broner 's last fight and if Paulie had an ounce of power, the result of that fight would have been a lot like tonight.

You are entirely on point with that observation. I felt like Broner knew he had a tough opponent but really didn't know what he was in for. Maidana sapped alot of his power early.

It was really great to watch Broner get his arse beat.
From fhe dry humping to the head butt flop, frick that guy.

I mean Canelo is a good fighter but he'll never be the monster Golden Boy is making him out to be. IMO the hype is his main enemy....they built him up too soon. Austin Trout easily outclassed him but was robbed by the judges (those scorecards were a damn travesty) and Mayweather did the same...and even he was nearly robbed of a victory despite beating Canelo's face in for 12 rounds.
Golden Boy politics will keep him mainstream but Canelo is simply not THAT good. He's gonna have major trouble when he eventually moves up to 160, assuming the division has legit talent. LOL there's a good chance he fights Carlos Molina on PPV in March. That garbage has no business being on PPV. Golden Boy is REALLY trying to push this dude.
