Should Braves be concerned over Upton?
Over last 3 years he has a .928 OPS at home compared to a .739 OPS on the road.

Chris Johnson stats from last year:
15 HR 76 RBI 31 BB/132 SO 281/326/451/777
DWar will be around -1.0 per season.

Not great, but not bad for the 8th best hitter in the lineup that will platoon with Juan Francisco.

If Uggla goes down, who plays 2nd? Would we move BJ to 2nd if push comes to shove?

Nice trade for the braves. I think Towers and Arizona lost their minds when they decided they didn't want to build around Upton. Considering they backed themselves into a corner I think they got an all right deal, Prado is a nice player and they're apparently going to extend him.

You can do a lot worse than having your 8 hole guy be a .270/15/70 hitter. Don't know what the criticism is all about. Excellent move by the Braves.

To think they almost moved Delgado to the Cubs for crap last year and now he helped us land a big fish.

im assuming this is like backyard baseball and the uptons attributes increase when they are on the same team a la achmed and amir khan, sidney and ashley webber, and vicki and kenny kawaguchi.

No joke

Upton was a top 5 piece in all of baseball before last year. He played through a significant injury that can/will sap your power.

Prado is a nice player and it's very nice to have his versatility, but it's not like he's a bargain considering he will be getting paid 8 figures/year when he hits FA. Delgado is a decent #2 at his maximum upside and more than likely will be a 3rd/4th SP.

I'm not sure who is worse out of the Braves & Rangers fans.

Anyone hear who thinks the braves made a bad deal is out of their mind. Delgado isn't a huge loss, prado was leaving after next year, and the other prospects are only unproven young guys. We didnt give up teheran, EOF, or venters. Now we have the best outfield in baseball just by switching prado and Justin.

its going to be interesting to see if the new lineup with the upton brothers can outperform the previous lineup with bourn and prado. im optimistic about it, but the braves sure are spending some dough this offseason.
