re: Chicago Tribune calls for dissolution of Illinois - GaBassFisher92
You'd go from 5 red states and one blue state to 5 blue states and one red state (don't think you could effect Kentucky!), no thanks!
Outside of Chicago, Illinois voted pretty much in line with the rest of the Midwest last November. If the state was divided like in the proposed ...

re: GA-6 Special Election Thread: Handel WINS - GaBassFisher92
Can you imagine how tired the people living in that district are of hearing political ads? Those poor bastards.
Hell, I live two hours outside of the district and I'm tired of the ads for this race. Has to be brutal inside the district....

re: Dem Jon Ossoff Opens Up A Commanding Lead For Georgia House Race - GaBassFisher92
The ones yesterday had Ossoff at 46% and Handel at 44% with a +/- 3. Hardly definitive.
Yeah, every other poll of this race is in the range of Handel +2 to Ossoff +2. I'm not saying this poll is wrong, but right now it's the only one showing anything close to a 7% margin....
Margin error of over 4 points and a lead of 7 with a MONTH to go before the runoff...
It's also just one poll, and as of right now it is not in line with any other poll of the race....
That's 6 hit batters this series. Ridiculous
7 actually. Obviously not intentional, but it's inexcusable at this point....

re: Watching a replay of the 2012 SECCG - GaBassFisher92
That game still hurts so much. Much worse than the Falcons collapse for me.
Yeah. The Falcons collapse was like watching a train crash in slow motion when you already know the outcome; the SECCG was a punch in the gut that still hurts to this day....

re: I quit sports - GaBassFisher92
Tonight was like watching a train wreck in slow motion. You could just sense that the entire 4th quarter was setting up the final outcome. Both sting, but nothing tops the gut punch from Bama in 2012 for me....

re: I quit sports - GaBassFisher92
This doesn't feel like as epic of a choke job as it actually was because I am so used to it in sports. No doubt it was a punch in the gut, but nothing (in Georgia sports) surprises me anymore....

re: This is So Georgia/ Atlanta... - GaBassFisher92
I've finally accepted no team I root for will ever win anything noteworthy.
Yeah, I've come to the realization that the next time a team I root for wins it all will probably be 20 minutes after they put me in the ground. I was four years old when the Braves won, too young to eve...
