As expected, he's dumping his belt so he doesn't have to fight Golovkin.

Wtf you get outta that article besides him clearly admitting he wants the fight. He dropped the title so his balls and prep won't be in a vise. Am I missing something.

Disclaimer. I watch little boxing.

Maybe he just doesn't want to pay the sanctioning fee.

What does he get out of being the champion? He can make money without the belt.

Now that the belt is gone, he's nowt he B side of the main ticket instead of the A side which means he's gonna take less money for the same fight lol? that's not happening. this fight isn't gonna happen.

I guess we'll really find out if he agrees to a fight.

Yes. He's been holding the WBC 160lb title hostage and the WBC basically MADE him negotiate a fight with Golovkin and he dropped the belt so he doesn't have to do so. Now he's gonna continue fighting bums at 155 (a weight class he made up since he's too chicken shite to fight in any of the 18 official weight classes).

Don't listen to that garbage about Canelo wanting to fight GGG and will continue negotiating the fight. I'll translate that for you: "I'm scared to fight Golovkin so I'm dropping the belt to avoid doing so, but then later on when Golovkin can't make the 160lb limit anymore and he's old and fighting at 168, I'll agree to fight him at 160".

Tell you what, if he calls out nearly 40 year old 147lb Manny Pacquiao for a fight at 155 I'm gonna laugh my arse off. But that would be a typical Canelo move. shite, he just called up dude with a glass jaw who never even proved anything at welterweight to fight him at 155 for the MIDDLEWEIGHT title. Damn Canelo is a fraud.

I'm high on him as a 160lb fighter, but where I've been critical of him is when he called out everyone at 168 and then chickened out when Andre Ward wanted a piece of him. First he wanted everyone from 154 to 168 but when a bad matchup came calling, he suddenly wanted to stay at 160 and not move up anymore.

Ah.

I don't want to believe Canelo's ducking him but it is difficult to interpret this as anything but that.

Let me fix that
