so there isn't an innocent person suffering a "gruesome injury" in the ray rice tape?

I rather listen to The Mike Taylor show in San Antonio before listening to Mike and Mike...

Is Barnwell the douche who keeps predicting that the Bucs will win the NFC South every year? Whoever that is, is terrible. I like Grantland though. Based Zach Lowe

golic..... he flew off the handle pretty good over nothing really.

He used to be pretty funny. He has gotten way too serious about everything.

Probably years of roids catching up to him.

His main problem is that he is just not very intelligent and is in way over his head. Some of his arguments with Greenberg are downright embarrassing, and you can tell Greenberg is embarrassed for him.

I don't particularly care for Greenie but I feel sorry for him sometimes in having to put up with the dumbass.

I disagree. There is a place for professional journalists in the field of journalism. There should be fewer places for former middling jocks who aren't very good journalists

That's nothing personal against Mike Golic since he's far from the only one - but Simmons is at least interesting and thoughtful. Golic almost never is either.

its probably not golic's fault for not knowing the entire context, probably didn't even hear the rest, blame producers maybe... but yeah, golic is a bafoon. Greeney would be better with a side kick than can give intellectual fodder.

Anybody who starts, on national radio, blaring our indictments and judgements without doing the research for themselves is a fool.

it is but saying " well i don't have all the context and information needed" doesn't make for good radio.

Simmons seems pretty disgruntled at ESPN.

I'm enjoying this article on deadspin about Simmons vs ESPN. Long as shite, but pretty interesting. LINK

I can't stand mike and mike or their show, but golic is completely right. Simmons is pompous, self-righteous, pious, overrated, squirmy little shite who thinks way too much of himself and his opinions. Doesn't help that the little prick presents himself as an objective knowledgeable stat guy, but he has zero sense of perspective and he is horrible with his boston bias.

In short, bill Simmons needs to have a coke and smile and shut the frick up.
