huggy bear is a WVU icon, he was a pretty damn good player in mo-town as well. If he stays at least 4 years i see them going to the final four at least two times
i think this will be his last stop, as long as the wvu administration will have him. He is home. He already has them by the balls, new scoreboard, new floor and new practice facility.
What gets me his house still isn't built yet and he lives out of a hotel

Drew at Baylor. From where they were to where they have been the past few season. Magnificent job.
I don't know about the best, but your right about the job he's done since being there. I could not have imagined where to start if I would have been in his shoes. But he really has done a great job there. That job was probably as appealing after all that happened as the SMU footbhall job was after they got the death penalty.

Gee, why do all of his former assistants get their programs on probation? I can't figure this out!
By all, are you referring to a whopping total of one person? Or are you also including the guy who was a longtime assistant for Boeheim and worked at Duke for 2 years and got Fairfield on probation as well?
What a stretch.
ETA: I guess his horrible cheating is the reason why Notre Dame, Stanford, and Harvard all hired his former long time assistants.

Wow. No Pitino mention? He gets my vote. Body of work speaks for itself: Took Providence to the Final 4. Resurrected a crippled UK program after the Sutton sanctions. Resurrected the once-proud UL program from the abyss back to elite status.
After him it's Calhoun, Izzo, Wright.
Calipari and Huggins are spectacular coaches who I wouldn't want anywhere near my program b/c of the slime factor.

Roy Williams is the best. The end
ETA: winning percentage of .807 (607-145)
7 final fours
2 time runner up
2 time NCAA champ
winningest active coach in the regular season and in the tourny

Norm Roberts (sarcasm)
I'm going to have to go with Boeheim, K, and Izzo.

Rick Pitino is the Nick Saban of college basketball.

Roy Williams reminds me a lot of Mack Brown at Texas. Both are unbelievable recruiters but pretty average in terms of the X's and O's.

Great comparisons. Also w/ Roy Williams and Mack Brown, it's not clear if they're great recruiters or very good recruiters at programs that recruit themselves as long as someone capable is at the helm.

in the last 4 years, bill self by far has the best results of any coach in college basketball, so id like to say him.
obviously boehoeim, coach k, and roy have better resumes, but they are way fricking older. recent results lead to bill. not saying he's the best, just laying out the facts.

Im surprised Izzo is getting more love than Roy Williams considering Izzo has several 12+ loss seasons and a few 1 and dones in the tourny
